Now I feel very comfortable with it and I recommend anyone uses Illustrator or photoshop to try it.

I recently replace my bamboo with the Intuos Pen and Touch. This tablet is great, nice size to use with a dual display. Nicely constructed and very stable. It does take a couple weeks to get used to using it instead of a mouse. Wacom has had great consumer support, if problems arise.

I don't believe it is meant to be used in place of a trackpad, although you could use it that way... People generally use these pads for illustration and drawing with Illustrator, Photoshop and the like. It is a specialized graphics tool. I usually use this tool along with the regular Mac mouse.

However, the tablet isn't using OS X's gesture recognition abilities, so you shouldn't expect them to be as easy to use as on a Trackpad. For example, I have a poor 50% chance to successfully 'tap with three fingers to look up the word' on the tablet, while I have no trouble doing the same on the trackpad. I can creatively combine gestures on a trackpad, like taping and holding a file, then swiping with another three fingers to drop that file on another fullscreen app, etc. This is barely possible to do on the tablet, as the result will be a bit unpredictable.

What you are looking for is actually a Capacitive Stylus, which will work with any other tablets that are like the iPad and not the Wacom. The Apple Online Store does have one, called "Pencil by FiftyThree." There's also the (Disney/Marvel) Creativity Studio Deluxe Stylus, which also is designed for iPads. All three are under the "Toys and Hobbies" Section.

If you're looking for Keyboards that will work with an iPad, you may want to go to "Shop iPad" then click on "Accessories."
