Good sound, well thought out features, good tuner, easy setup

It brings in clearly signals that I had difficulty picking up with my (good quality) analog radio, and signals I couldn't get in at all with my analog radio. Set up was easier than expected - just plugged it in, attached my iPhone (5C) to the USB port, and the date and time were displayed on the radio display instantly. The iPhone then automatically brought up the window for the radio's app, and installed it in seconds with no trouble. The alarm was easy to set; the radio lets you determine its alarm volume. When the radio alarm comes on in the morning, it starts off softly - a pleasant way to wake up. The display is clear and can be seen from all angles. It's easy to dim the display for sleeping; even when dimmed, the display stays clear. There's also a well thought out nap mode - you can choose the duration of the nap; ditto the sleep mode which has the volume slowly fade out as you nod off.

It will set the time automatically when a device is docked. There are apps that you can use to control all functions of the radio like changing the stations or setting alarms. My wife likes to use it with the lightning USB cord and watch movies. The sound comes out of the speakers and is much better than the iPad speakers.

Great alarm clock, needs a case extender though

First off, this is a great alarm clock with some nice speakers. It's simple to use and set. It plays my iTunes, Pandora, etc better than the iPhone speakers (though I will say, the 6 Plus has some sweet built in sound). Plus, docking you phone at night looks a lot cooler than plugging it into a cable that barely reaches your nightstand. Now the bad. The manufacturer site says the dock fits with most cases. This is a lie. I have a pretty standard two-layer case (rubber inner and plastic outer) that could only be thinner if it was painted on (which gives me an idea involving spray-on bedliner :)). I don't know why this wasn't made to fit with a case, standard. If you buy a $300 phone, you're going to protect it. Fortunately, you can buy extension to work with cases, but something that should really be standard
