Best Solution to a Common Problem

Either the mounting mechanism is suspect, the articulated parts come loose and can't be tightened, or break off over a short period of use. The Kenu Airframe is by far the best of a very sorry bunch. In fact, it's head and shoulders above anything else on the market. I rent cars a fair bit and the mounting system has not let me down yet. Whether it be a domestic or a foreign vehicle, I have yet to find a vent that I can't attach the Airframe to. To make this an even better proposition, the price point is less than most of the other options out there. The simple design, and low cost create the perfect car vent mount for any smartphone. …

We tried several others with clip, sticky back, etc. I've bought 8 of these now, to give employees and have in each vehicle at home. I travel a lot and this is portable to use in rental cars. Seems expensive, but truly worth it. The only issue I've had is when AC is on full blast in car, Siri can't pick up voice commands well due to the sound of the air coming through the vent that I like to use. …

This little device from Kenu turns any air vent into a phone mount

It's so small and portable. It's small size makes it a good travel companion for rental cars. Very small, very light and very functional, the Airframe will ensure your phone does not tumble around on the dash or the console or the seat, and keeps this increasingly important device in plain view but not obstructing your view. …

Best clip I've had
I was a bit skeptical because you cannot turn the phone when it is clipped. But in the end, I always used my phone in portrait mod I was a bit skeptical because you cannot turn the phone when it is clipped. But in the end, I always used my phone in portrait mode anyways. This clip is of superb build and it just works. It holds on to the vent really tight, yet it's easy to install. It's also easy to put the phone in and it never dropped it in a few months of use. There are no annoying vibrations because of all that. Recommended. …

Not for all vehicles
If your vent sits back 1/2" or more from the surrounding surface, the clip on this mount will not be long enough to grab the vent If your vent sits back 1/2" or more from the surrounding surface, the clip on this mount will not be long enough to grab the vent while your phone is mounted. I have a 2006 Dodge Ram and the vent to the right of the steering wheel is too deep to mount this to. I had to mount it on the vent to the left of my steering wheel (close to the door) for it to work. This is just awkward for me as I am not left handed. I also had to run the cable from my head unit around the steering column, from right to left, so the cable would reach my phone. It works great on my wife Camry.
Other wise, this is a great solution for those of us who don't have navigation on our head units and are waiting for Carplay to be improved before we shell out the cash for it. …

Broke my iPhone

I assumed this was my iphone crashing, or battery Used this for 6 months or so and while using noticed my iPhone kept turning off. I assumed this was my iphone crashing, or battery dying. On closer inspection my car heating [hot and cold] was taking my iphone past its natural operating temperature and shutting it down. Now it appears from one such event the iphone wont turn on.
Wouldnt advise putting your iphone anywhere near the ventilation so in hindsight think this prodcut is a very bad idea/design …
