While the Studio Wireless has Before this my main over-ear headphones were the Beats Studio Wireless. To be honest, they have really different sound signatures. While the Studio Wireless has more bass, the H7 actually has way much crisper details. The bass of the H7 is not bad; it's punchy but not overpowering. This enables you to better hear subtle details such as the piano in songs like Kygo's, for example. In comparison the soundstage of the H7 is way more open and I'd say better than the Studio Wireless. It actually felt pretty weird for me going back to Studio Wireless, sounding so "closed" and "trapped". In terms of volume, the H7 is weaker. 70% on the H7 can be achieved on 50% from the Studio Wireless. However, you don't need to worry because it provides a pretty good sound isolation, almost close to the active noise cancelling of the Studio Wireless. Moreover, the lambskin ear cups make the H7 far more comfortable but too bad that it can't be folded. It also only comes in a soft carrying pouch and at times the touch controls can be annoying when accidentally pressed (like while you're laying down on your pillow). Other than that, I think the superb sound, sophisticated materials, and the playful (youthful) design really do justify the price. So, if you want a crisp dynamic balanced sound signature definitely get these. Details are extremely audible from these. If you prefer a more bass-oriented sound; maybe, just maybe get the Beats Studio Wireless. Either way, you'll get comfortable with either sound signature (changing from the Studio Wireless required me some adjustments too).

H7 is the perfect love child between H6 and H8.

He chooses the exact soft lambskin he used on H6&H8, it allows you to listen for a longer period of time without any fatigue. Comparing to the H6, H7’s ear cup is slightly bigger and thicker, but the overall weight did not suffer, H7 is 60 g heavier than the H6, I can barely feel the difference. Comparing to the H8, there is almost no difference in looks except its enlarged ear cups. Sound BeoPlay is well known for its balanced and clear sound, people has complained in the past that H6 lacks bass and H8 sometimes has way too much, they definitely fixed this problem in H7. I have been listening for over a month now, I can hardly find any shortcomings. I would strongly suggest to listen to it in a wired mode even though it is a pair of wireless headphone. Comfort I would definitely prefer the comfort of H6 over H7 and H8, just because it is the lightest and slimmest of those three. When H8 first came out, its on-ear design hesitated me a little, for a guy who wears glasses regularly, on-ear headphone is not your best friend. I felt the need to readjust the headphone if I listen over an hour. If you are doubting between on-ear and over-the-ear, I would suggest you to go with the latter. Bluetooth H8 had a lot of problems with instability of it Bluetooth connectivity when it first came out, BeoPlay clearly fixed that problem. Over a month period, I probably had only once or twice dropouts as compared to H8’s constant dropouts on a daily basis.

I previously had Beats Studio wireless headphones (for the past year), and these are a significant improvement. The sound is clearer and more expensive sounding. The headphones are amazingly sturdy: metal and what feels like high grade automotive upholstery. It's a refined, made-to-last-a-long-time feeling, that's very tasteful. Thanks Apple for curating these guys and bringing them into my world!

Sennheiser momentum w In the past 2 month I have been looking for Bluetooth headphone . My budget was up to 500 dollar so I bought and tried parrot Zik 2 and 3. Sennheiser momentum wireless 2 and Bose over the ear blue tooth headphone, then finally settled on the beoplay H 7. I have large head ( I knew that ) large ears ( I did not know ) After extensive use , this is is how I rate the above 4 headphones them in comfort, sound, features. This is frankly subjective .. But I spent a lot of time reading and trying the above sets and figured it could help someone out here .. Sound : sennheiser tied with H 7 . Then parrot and finally Bose. Comfort: Bose tide with H 7 then sennheiser and finally parrot. Features. Parrot ,H 7 then sennheiser finally Bose. Briefly, the H7 has a winning combination of comfort, sound and features. It looks awesome too.. Other things to highlight about the H 7 .the auto reconnect works, as long as you do not turn the switch to off position. A brief slide towards Bluetooth sign ,allow reconnect fast. Finally this headphone is what you call BYBC ( bring your own battery and cable ) I have a camera battery and it worked here and an old beats inline cable and it worked perfectly even activated Siri .. Negatives are really few.. Phone calls can be clearer by adding another microphone .no multi link functionality as of yet ,finally not touch gesture to activate Siri , But maybe that can added through software update. I know the H 7 is expensive for many.. But to me it worth the money .and it has been pleasure to listen and use.
