Works well with the iPad (4th generation) and iPhone 5

Works well at mirroring iPad 4th generation and iPhone 5 via HDMI cable. Tried it with photos and video and worked well.

"this view is not supported" is the message I get when I try to catch up on my favorites shows on abc go app. I had the older version of this for my iPad 3 and it worked great with everything. Not impress with the function nor the price. I will de retuning this for sure. But, now what are we supposed to do? Is there any option out there that works to just duplicate exactly what's on your screen to a TV?? I would give 0 stars if I could.

Buy the back alley Chinese version.

It didn't work for the first few days until plugging it into another iPhone and then an iPad. After that it worked for a few weeks, before malfunctioning again. That time, I had done every combination of unplug and plug back in for about 2 hours before it worked again. And then it lasted for a while. And now tonight, while trying to set up a Sunday night movie, it once again malfunctioned. But tonight I gave in after what my lady friend claims was 20 minutes of "playing" with it. I'm very disappointed in this products reliability and am offended that Apple would so carelessly produce and sell it. Buy this if you like to A. Sometimes get what you pay for B. Gamble or C. Enjoy being let down. Don't buy this if A. You have anger management problems B. Believe price buys you quality C. Think Apple respects you or us.

While using with charger it gets too hot. Don't waste your money on this. AirPlay is much better to use if your intention is to get your iPhone or iPad screen on a larger display. I'm just disappointed that an expensive accessory in 2016 isn't even capable of 1080p. The old dock connector was better
