The trick is to choose the correct ear tip to get a good seal in the ear. If the seal is poor, the bass will be reduced. With a good seal the sound and noise isolation is quite good.

The bass, however, is lacking any form of substance. I recommend that you pass on these.

      Struggling to find a replacement

I have been using these IEMs for the past 6 or so years almost exclusively for my commute, for travel and in the office. I can confirm that these are *very* tender, and I have had to replace them on average once every 18 months for various reasons. I will also say that they have pretty bad microphonics. Finally, I will say that the tips are comfortable, they are not optimal for sound isolation, and the latter can be improved with ones from another brand (look it up). That being said, if you know anything about portable audio, you will know that dual-balanced-armature at this price are near non-existent, which makes these IEMs AMAZING in terms of sound quality / money. Now, you may or may not like neutral and detailed sound, and you NEED to like it to enjoy these. I love it. And I love these IEMs. And I have had trouble finding a replacement for these for the past year or so, because there doesn't seem to be something better along the same lines for under 200 bucks - 3 times higher than the MSRP of these, and some 4-5 higher than the best prices I've seen when discounted online. Bottom line: Sound/money these have few rivals if you like neutral sound. Build/money is excellent in terms of looks, but average at best in terms of durability, especially when compared to the likes of RHA. At the end of the day, the sound is worth it to me, and I will keep replacing them as long as alternatives do not become cheaper.

I've gone through 2 different pairs in about 6 years. I use them 3-4+ hours a day. They're really comfortable and they don't break. I need to replace my current ones because the wires are starting to show, the ear phones still work though. I was really hoping apple would upgrade them to include lightning port, but so far it doesn't look like it. I'm disappointed because It's difficult to find comfortable earphones.

I left my earphones in my pocket and they went through both the washer and dryer and still have the same exact sound. good stuff.
