      Better than you think...

I've had my urBeats since May 2015 and they are much better than I thought they'd be. I was expecting some typical in-ear headphones like the Apple in-ear ones I've had my urBeats since May 2015 and they are much better than I thought they'd be. I was expecting some typical in-ear headphones like the Apple in-ear ones or something from v-moda, something from this price range, but these are definitely a cut above. The sound quality is great, if a little bassy. With Beats everything has bigger bass, so if you don't like that, don't buy Beats. Unlike some of the reviewers here, I find that these are tougher and more durable than any other in-ear headphones I've ever owned. The construction feels solid, the in-ear cushions are comfortable and stay on the earbuds (unlike the Apple in-ear headphones), and because of the ribbon-like shape of the cables, I find that they don't get as tangled as the typical ear-buds. I don't baby my headphones so I need them to be durable, and I have used these every day on commutes, while doing housework, on long walks, and they have gotten occasionally snagged (sometimes violently) on door handles, gates, and even one time on someone's handbag in the subway, and they just got yanked out of my ears or the headphone jack, but are none the worse for wear (the ear cushions don't come flying off like on the Apple ones). I feel like I could pull on them really hard without damaging them, that's how solid they feel. I haven't experienced any earphone losing sound or completely conking out at all. I've heard that Beats gear used to be of lower quality but that they have recently really upped their game in terms of how well the gear is manufactured. And, I've also heard that knockoff Beats are very common, even from reputable vendors. So I would be wary of where I would purchase any Beats gear. The Apple Store is the most reliable because they obviously have a vested interest in selling you authentic gear, and they have great warranty and return policies. But if you buy your Beats from some weird online retailer, or even Amazon, and you get them for some amazing price, caveat emptor.

I recently bought this product and compared it against a few earbuds of mine, the noticeable different is that there is a more muffled sound, heavier base but t I recently bought this product and compared it against a few earbuds of mine, the noticeable different is that there is a more muffled sound, heavier base but the vocals aren't that great. I can't say anything bad about the build quality as I have read other reviews, those are more premium earbuds compared to cheaper ones or plastic. My conclusion is that I won't recommend those earbuds to serieus audio listeners as there are a lot better choices and more likely much cheaper alternatives.

      Premium price for budget headphones.

Got a set a couple of years and have already had them replaced twice for an internal wire failure by the plug. The third set failed a couple of days ago. When they were working they sounded ok but the build quality is appalling.
