Apple Accessories.

Redesigned. Rechargeable. Remarkable.

  • Overview

Featuring a new design, Magic Mouse 2 is completely rechargeable, so you’ll eliminate the use of traditional batteries. It’s lighter, has fewer moving parts thanks to its built-in battery and continuous bottom shell, and has an optimized foot design — all helping Magic Mouse 2 track easier and move with less resistance across your desk. And the Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents. Magic Mouse 2 is ready to go right out of the box and pairs automatically with your Mac.

MUCH smoother on the desk, more solid feel, definitely seems like an upgrade vs just a replacement. Even my wife noticed how much better it seemed to work, and she didn't even notice when I replaced our old iMac last year! Yes, it's weird to have the port on the bottom for charging. But honestly, if the battery lasts as long as they say it will between charges it's not a big deal.

I tried to use it with everything I could (desktops, laptops, tablets,...) and it always worked smoothly via Bluetooth. The outstanding design and swiping ability are just awesome. I recommend this mouse for everyone who is frustrated from a cheap plastic junk mice and always losing a small wireless USB transmitters.

      Great mouse

Mouse came charged to 95% and it was very easy to pair. I like its clicking sound better than the one old mouse had.

I am visually impaired and that light was a much clearer indicator to me that the mouse was powered on. I hope someone from Apple sees this review and contacts me !

Would prefer NO STARS - Looks nice but totally useless and overpriced

However, it is really troublesome to connect to the MacBook (a 10 pound logitech bluetooth doesn't seem to have any issues), you keep having to go to settings and search for it. Also many games require you to have a right-click and the mouse's double swipe alternative just doesn't work when I need to left click at the same time (you know the drill - Right click aim, left click fire). The mouse is very flat on the desk, so hard to manouver. Lastly, which blithering idiot at apple put the lightning port on the bottom so the mouse is unusable while charging? I know you don't need to charge too often, but really how hard would it have bee to put the port at the front of the mouse? This is different to a normal mouse just because apple want to be different, not because it is any good.

I think the reason for people giving it a lower rating is because they couldn't be bothered to read the tech specs and had out of this word expectations.
