    A solution (quite easy) for using CAD programms that need middle click on Windows with a Magic Mouse is to copy and paste these lines on a very short script with the freeware AutoHotKey :

    Send {Click D M}
    While GetKeyState("alt","P")
    Sleep 10
    Send {Click U M}

    Save it, and then run it . You can now use Alt-left mouse click (draged pushed down) exactly as a middle click !
    You'll have to run it upon every boot of your system, unless you put it on the startup folder of your PC. It solved my problem and I now use my Magic Mouse on Creo Parametrics on Bootcamp ! (I think it would work as well with SolidWorks)

  • Unfortunately there's no such thing as a middle click with the Magic Mouse. At least, not from Apple. There's a great Beta app (free) called BetterTouchTool which will provide you with middle click and even the exposé functionality.
