    The software automatically creates a partition for itself to avoid being deleted in a OS reinstall. So a basic reformat will not delete the software. A hard drive swap would however.

  • It depends on how LoJack is installed. You can install it in a partition to work side-by-side with the Mac OS, and it won't be affected, but if it is installed as part of the OS, then it will be wiped with everything else.
