You can now with the iOS 5.2 update for Apple TV. Apple (kind of secretly) built Bluetooth into the 2nd and 3rd generation Apple TVs, but didn't activate it initially. As they did with the 2nd generation Apple TV, they waited to activate Bluetooth with a software update. Now you can finally use a Bluetooth keyboard with Apple TV. A lot of Apple TV users like myself have been waiting for this update.

That was actually one of the first questions I asked ...but while the Apple TV isn't bluetooth capable.... The only way to use a keyboard is if you're doing mirroring from your iPhone or iPad and use the keyboard with one of those. Otherwise you can't use a wireless keyboard with the Apple TV itself. I really hope they make a new version or a software update that makes Apple TV Bluetooth comparable ! That would make it so much easier!

If you have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad with the free Apple Remote application installed, it will allow you to use the on-screen keyboard from the iOS device rather than having to use the Apple TV's aluminum remote to "peck" each letter.
