    If you get an unlocked GSM phone, it should work in Australia. Ask your carrier if they are GSM (most companies are)

  • you can, but you need to make sure the iPhone you bought is a1428 or a1429…
    because in Australia, iPhone 5 needs to be a1429 in order to work on LTE, or else you'd only be able to use it on Edge and 3G and not over LTE...
