'Jailbreaking' is when a program 'unlocks' the iPad so it can do more things like themes and unapproved apps and tweaking of the springboard. This is highly not recommended because it can make your iPad very unstable. For example; it could be working one minute and be stuck on the Apple loading screen the next (bricked). It is also illegal in some places and tweaking the device void's the warranty in most countries.

    So yeah, don't jailbreak it.

  • Jail breaking any idevices basically means you are over riding the apple soft ware. This does allow you to do different things with your iPad HOWEVER it is not a safe practice as it not only voids warranty but also new things that you can do can allow viruses and other things that can ruin your iPad onto your device.

    Hope this helped!
