are the refurbished macbooks as good as the ones you buy brand new?

Want to get a 13'' Air and want it to be cheap. Should I go with refurbished or brand new? What's the quality of refurbished vs. new?

I bought my refurbished 13" MacBook Pro after asking friends the same question, and as far as I can tell refurbished products from Apple's online store have the exact same quality that a brand new MacBook has. There was literally not a scratch to be found, it just came in a different (all-white) box. You also get all the accessories that come with a new Mac and refurbished models have the same warranty new models do.

  • The refurbished mac is basically the same thing but someone decided they didnt want it and returned it to the store. It is a flawless new mac but they are not allowed to sell it as new because it was opened before. They have the same warranty and include brand new accessories in an original box and you will be happy you saved some money. Also if your a college student you can get a NEW mac for a discount.
