You can use Boot Camp to run both Windows and OS X, which when you start the mac holding down the Option key allow you to boot into either Windows or OS X.

Alternatively you can use the Parallels software, available on the store to run Windows inside OS X.

If you're looking to play games or use some fairly processor intensive applications, I would recommend boot camp as this will remove the overhead of running both OS X and Windows. The downside to boot camp is to change between Windows and OS X requires a restart. There are plenty of guides online for both Boot Camp and Parallels to get you started.
