What cable do you use for running a powerpoint from the MacBook Air

I do presentations from my laptop and would like to use the Macbook Air. How do I do this? How do I connect to a projector?

I would use the Mini DisplayPort to VGA connection and than use the VGA cable that comes with the projector.

(I can't link to the apple store, but if you search, you will find it.)

  • The thunderbolt port on newer computers is the same shape as the old mini display port and these connections will still work in the thunderbolt port.
You should get a mini display port (male) to VGA female cable, then use the usual VGA male to VGA male cable that is nearly always found with any projector in a school or conference facility.
