    Doesn't hold a charge.

The case is rather too smooth, slippery when my hands are moist. However, its ability to hold a charge decreased markedly within a few months. Yesterday, I dropped it on a lawn and the bottom connection has deformed, now I can't charge it as the micro-USB port has deformed. I'll wait for the new iPhone to be released before considering another mophie.

Probably the best phone case I ever had. Comes off easily. Battery life lasts a long time. To all of the people who say that it stinks because the battery life is to short and it only works if you charge it at night and the light is to bright..... Why would you use this at night and just charge it down stairs. Duh

    Mophie 1500

    Hi All;

I have the 1,500 model on iPhone 4 since May this year and I simply love it. It protects the phone, I can remove the Phone from it in 3 seconds and it allows me to recharge the phone 1.5 times (when iPhone 4 battery is at 20% charge). The bottom part of the mophie is somewhat damaged, unfortunately the phone was dropped more than once. It still working strong.
I will buy another one in a heartbeat.

Was great, but it's slowly dying

I've had my Mopie Juice Pack for my 4S since June. I'm heavy user of my phone/data services, and I couldn't make it until noon without needing to charge my phone. I got lucky because I purchased this nice case/battery right after the cases/batteries were released for the 5, and I got a really good deal on it (not through Apple). The battery easily doubled or tripled the life of my battery. Unfortunately, over the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that my Mophie doesn't stay charged for any where near as long as it used to. That said, I would buy another one in a heartbeat (although I'll be upgrading my phone to the 5S in a month or two so the Mophie will have to wait).

I have respond to some of the previous critiques who are just plain wrong. You absolutely can sync your phone through your computer without removing the case. I was very surprised that this was, in fact, the case even though I had read about it in the instructions. You simply attach the cable to your USB drive and it works even though it's a mini-USB not 30-pin. It really does work flawlessly. Second, removing the case from the phone is not difficult at all. Previous reviewer claimed that it couldn't be done and that simply is not true.

Again, I am disappointed that my Mophie battery seems to be losing the ability to hold a charge. For that reason, this otherwise perfect case/battery doesn't get five stars from me.

    Dont buy this case!

This case is the worst thing you can waste your money on. You cannot sync your phone with your computer because the battery of the cover has a different connector and it just won't sync. The button to mute the phone is extremely hard to switch also and you cannot take this cover off your cellphone at all. Just take a $100.00 dollar bill and throw it in the garbage can, at least that will save you some time and some headaches.

    The Case Does Fit

I also had problems with the case being terribly difficult to remove and insert, then I realized that all you need to do is remove the bottom! The case fits easily now. You just have to pull off the bottom away from the rest and your iPhone will easily fit in. Snap the bottom back on and it's that easy. The problem is, I don't think Mophie actually tells you this in the manual that comes with it. Mine has worked great. I use it for running and on my bike for long distance rides. I'm about to purchase my second one for century rides. It's a great device.

    Doesn't come off

Don't buy this case if you ever want to take it off. It's nearly impossible to take it off which is extremely ridiculous. I'm a guy that likes to change cases often (It's been a couple months) and I can't even take it off! Do not waste your money on this case unless you want it on your phone forever!

    Good battery useless case

This is good if you want backup-power on the go. But if you're looking for a case that can protect your iPhone, look elsewhere. My iPhone fell from just 3 feet onto a tiled surface (not tarmac) and the screen broke because the sides are not high enough to prevent the screen from touching the ground and the case does not absorb shock properly. In fact it may increase the chances of damage to your phone as it adds extra weight, which is counter-protective if your phone falls face down. And none of us plans which way out phones will fall in a mishap, right?

It was great while it lasted

I've had my Mophie Juice Plus case for about 5 months and it's already broken. It was absolutely wonderful and useful while it lasted, but I wish it would have lasted longer for the 100 dollars I spent on it.

    Great when it works....

...but two of them have failed on me. I'm on my second Mophie, and after only a few weeks it, like the first one, has developed a short in the charging port so that it no longer charges. Very frustrating and disappointing.

    It worked...at first

I had a MJPA for my iPhone 4S and was using it for a few months and it quit working. Since it was still within the 1 year warranty and I contacted Mophie, who sent me a new case. I just received my FOURTH replacement case and none of them work with my 4S. I tested the last one on my mom's iPhone 4 and it worked, but it's advertised to work with the 4 AND 4S. Not very happy with this product.

    Great Product & Customer Service

All products have minuses and pluses, after been using this acc. for several months here are my comments:

    - Once you mount this to your phone, it is not easy to take it off. But I think the idea is when you mount this thing on, why you have to take it off that often?
    - When my phone battery goes down to 20%, and it can only charge my phone to 70%-ish with a fully charged juice pack. (Maybe because I am using the phone at the same time)
    - The battery indicator doesn't seem right. It has four lights to show you the battery status of the case, but when you use 3/4 according to the indicator, then the battery goes down like crazy.

+ It's the thinnest battery case ever, and it looks great with the white 4S
+ The design is better than its previous product, when you have to use Apple's cord, simply remove the bottom part and you are okay to go(You don't have to take off the whole case)...
+ I accidently dropped and broke this thing so I email Mophie's customer service team to buy its replacement, instead, they've shipped a brandnew one with no additional charge!!! You get what you paid for, and it's definitely worth 80 bucks.

Compared with its minus and plus, I am rating this stuff 5 star with no doubt.

Extremely disappointing. Except when it works, then it's great!

Even the USB cable that comes in the box would not sync the 4S to iTunes, although it would charge the Mophie and the iPhone. I tried another cable and it synced fine, so I blamed the original cable. Then it seemed like any USB cable I would plug into it when I wanted to charge the thing (I have them at the ready all over the house, as I suppose many folks do nowadays) would sometimes work and sometimes not. (Or would work for ten minutes and then quit.) You could "play around with it" and get it to go, but it became more bothersome every day and I hadn't even owned it a month.
So I decided that maybe the fault didn't lie with the male ends of the cables but rather with the female end that's situated inside the Mophie, so I brought it back and exchanged it. Just got it home, and here we go again. EVEN THE CABLE THAT COMES WITH IT IN THE BOX WON'T SYNC with iTunes, and using any of several other USB cables will sometimes charge and sometimes not. And For $80, seriously? How are these people still in business??
But, when charged, it's as if your phone will run forever -- you can forget that you're even using a battery at all!

TERRIBLE DESIGN, way too tight, EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TAKE OFF THE PHONE once is on (nearly impossible in fact). And I need to take if off occasionally to dock it with peripherals or If I'm away from home and only have a standard iPhone charger to connect it to. Im going back to the apple store tomorrow to demand a refund or an exchange. This is UNACCEPTABLE for a cover that costs $79!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL, save your money for something else.

...and just to be specific, this is regarding the most recent version of the mophie air, not the older version, my freinds have that older version and it doesn't seem to have this problem.

Awesome, and if it breaks Mophie replaces, keep receipt!

This is an excellent addition to my iPhone 4s (4s guzzles power), and essentially doubles my battery life. I purchased on March 22. On about July 22 the power input broke. Mophie is replacing and covering shipping. You will need your receipt in order to file for warranty. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! I imagine Mophie has fixed the poor design problem (or else Mophie won't stay in business because Mophie will have to keep replacing defective products), so I'm hoping the replacement lasts longer than 5 months. I've missed the Mophie quite a bit - 4s really guzzles juice (as compared to my iPhone 4 with basically same configuration).

Won't back up - disconnects from iTunes every time

Same experience as another review below. Neither of the 2 cases I've owned won't allow iPhone (4S) to sync without giving error message about not being able to backup phone due to phone disconnecting from iTunes. The phone backs up fine when synching with the regular Apple USB cable, but no go with the Mophie cable (MacBook Air OS IX+X). Is no-one else - apart from Robert below, and me - having this problem?

It breaks to easy!!!! However, I will recommend for world travelers!!!!!

Great product but it needs to be reinforced with something that can protect the battery case/cover. I drop it the first time and the silver trimming that is around the jack ports broke. 80 bucks and no bumper. Can it be softer???? My husband and I travel alot and we find the time to use our phones more than less. This product helps with the battery life tremendously.

Just make it softer and give a warrenty for breaking. Please help I need a new one.

    Great case!

I really like it. It's very handy and useful since Iphones have awful battery life in the first place! But the only problem I have with it is that it's very hard to remove the case. I must be doing something wrong but I can't get it off! The extra bulk is not noticeable or inconvenient either.

    Do not buy this product!!!!

Okay so I bought this battery pack like 2 or 3 months ago and I was excited to buy this because I've heard some decent things about it. It takes a long time to charge it and the smaller battery pack that I bought gives about 50-60% of battery which is awesome when your phone's battery is about to die. This product comes in two pieces the bigger piece that goes around the phone and a smaller piece that goes in the charging port of the phone. After using it a few times the two pieces started to get loose and now it doesn't even connect to the phone that's how loose it is and without the smaller piece you can't charge your phone.
    Price: $80
    Worth: $30
