If you're looking for a stylish, not too bulky case that offers purpose, then this one is definitely for you! Having a sturdy protective case is one thing, but having an additional 8 hours of battery support backing up your phone, is even better! Bad Connector

I've had two Morphie battery packs - one for my iPhone 3 and iPhone 4. The first battery lasted about a year before the internal Morphie connector became unusable. The second is slowly de-evolving with the same problem. [Morphie Pack] Connector will not charge off of its AC plug. It will only charge off of the Mac Pro to Moprhie Connector plug and now that is getting loose. For the money I'm looking for another brand. I would NOT recommend this product.

This thing didn't last 6 months. I treat my phone with extra care, especially when connecting cables. The mophie connector dislodged at some point, and now the battery won't charge. That is when I found out that it is impossible to get support. Save your $100. This flimsy piece of junk is not worth it.

    Don't Drop!

It works great - unless you drop your phone. I tried two of these, and both times they stopped working because if miscellaneous drops. (I honestly rarely drop my phone.) I love the idea - and love that they worked for three months. But it's too much to pay for only a three-month use.

    Great Product and warranty

Keeps my phone charged throughout the day! Love this product. Yes I think the design needs some work which I'm hoping the new one for the iphone 5 will be better (which is the only reason I didn't give it a 5). I have dropped my phone a few times and it broke but Mophie is great with backing their products under warranty and have replaced mine free of charge as well as my husbands. They stand behind their products!

    Great Idea but....

This is a greta idea and works well but I have had two and both times they have failed. Yep sure they were dropped but the design should be able to more robust than that. The USB charging jack has failed twice and it just dies....not good enough, I have given up.

on my second one. Build quality very poor. Customer service equally poor

I have had to replace 2 of these due to the switch failing and the connection points not working. They have been very reluctant to support the product beyond the 1 year warranty. I would not recommend.

After a year+ and a few drops, still working great for me!

I've had this case/pack for about 14 months, taken it everywhere (hiking, biking, travelling), dropped it on my driveway a couple of times, and it's flown off the seat of my car onto the floor many times and it still works great. There's minor cosmetic wear to the plastic, and it's slightly more finicky about which USB cables it "likes" but that's about it. Regarding mini-USB cables, they do tend to wear out and get a bit loose. I have a lot of mini-USB devices and the effect is more noticeable on some devices than others, but nothing that a (cheap) new cable won't rectify. The result can be looseness in the connection, or even, with Mophie in my case, an inability to charge the phone (though the Mophie battery charges fine) while plugged in. Using a newer cable rectified these issues. I love my Mophie, even though it's a bit heavy. It's saved my bacon more than once.

    This is not Drop Proof

I am super cautious with my phones. I had this 40 days and it will no longer take a charge. The case looks and feels great but it is strictly an extra battery. It is not protective as it cannot survive a drop. It is nice when it works - but it was just 40 days for me.

    Don't waste your money!

I bought this case back in september to extend my battery life and it worked great until it was dropped. Now after being dropped once on a carpeted floor a couple months ago it is impossible to get it to charge the phone and plugging it in doesn't do anything, cant charge the phone, the case, or see the phone to sync with my mac, or play music through the usb cable in my car. All of this worked perfectly prior to dropping it once on a carpeted floor. The worst part of this case is that you cannot use anything that uses the dock connector with it and all of your existing cables wont work with it.

Two failures before one year old

A Juice Pack is a reliable device. For a while. That said, I've come to believe that they are not intended for frequent removal.

It takes cautious maneuvering to separate the two sections in order to free your iPhone, and in doing so the two pieces eventually become misaligned - which makes recharging impossible.

Why remove the Juice Pack, or, at least its lower section? It won't accept the 4S/4 16pin cable. So, unless you tote its cable along, too, you need to at least remove the lower section to make the 16pin port accessible. Plus, my phone tended to get hot when in this thick case.

My first mophie was a lesser model. While it wouldn't accept a charge the case could act as port for the iPhone unfriendly cable - through which I could still power-up from an external portable charger.

This model became so badly misaligned that it is useless --in a shorter timeline, and with far less usage.

Word to the wise: Since the advent of the iPhone 6 the brick and mortar store no longer carries this version.

    Great so far

The case is fantastic. I have never ran out of battery for my phone and I use it constantly in college. I have dropped my phone a few times and the case still works so far. I think the case is great, but it provides no protection. The case is start to become a little loose on the top from me taking it off to many times probably. All-in-all the case is fantastic and the best $100 I have spent in awhile.

    Great protection plus power

I have had this case for roughly a year and my phone never dies. I charge while I sleep and both case and phone are at 100%. great accessory. I have an older model that doesn't have the complete open top to allow all aux cables to connect so I do have to take the top cap off for bulkier aux cables
