    I have had my buds since CHRISTmas and I have to say that I am not impressed. The battery on my first pair wouldn't last an hour, they did however replace them no questions asked but my second pair have been a pain. They just don't fit well, the always fall out no matter what configuration I use and also the battery won't even last half as long as they say. I am hopeful that the bluetooth technology is still new and that in the coming years they will get better.

    Not sweat proof

    I used my wireless jay birds I. The gym and was very happy with them until they decided to die on me. I am presuming it is because they are not sweat proof as they claim to be.

    I have left messages on the company website asking for either replacement or fixes and after four messages have had no response. When working they are great but u fortunately they break too easily and customer service is non existent

    Incredible...for as long as they work

    I absolutely love these headphones...but I am now on my *fourth* pair because they simply do not perform under the conditions that the manufacturer specifically says that they are designed for. They are not sweat proof. If you wear these when running they will get fried over time (they've generally lasted about 3-4 months). The manufacturer is very good about accepting the returns (as I said, I'm on my fourth pair) but they simply do not perform as promised. I can't imagine that my fourth pair will be any different.

    sounds great but does not pair well with Apple watch

    I have two sets one for me and the other for my wife who has a Samsung Note 2. Mine pairs well with iPhone 6 Plus but pairs intermittently with my apple watch. I have to power cycle my apple watch or play around to get it paired once unpaired with my apple watch. I have iOS 8.4 My wife's pairs well with Samsung Note 2 but the control does not work such as stop or play button does not work from the headset.. I will be returning them before the 14 day return policy ends.

    No Bass sounds!

    Fitting is ok but sound is so piercing to the ears without the bass . I tried fitting with the correct size earclips but still no complete sound without the bass!

    Could Be Better

    The Bluetooth connectivity is the best part of this earphone. The sound quality is decent at this price level. The worst is the fit on ears. It is simply uncomfortable and unsecured during a run or moderately intense workout and above. JayBird must do better on fit and comfort for me to use this again. Going back to my wire Shure earphones.

    Returned for Dr. Dre Beats bluetooth buds (no bass in these)

    My two complaints about Jaybirds are the lack of bass in this product, it's flat mono sounding and that is about it. The second complaint is getting your money back. I've called they're customer care dept 5 different times about a refund and get the same old run around, oh it takes us 7-10 business days to issue a refund. It's been over 10 days and I have yet to see my money back. Today the phones are down. Nothing but frustration from JayBird!

    Great concept, poor execution

    Everything POSITIVE that already has been said about these headphones is true. Great sound for Bluetooth, good fit (I used Comply S-500 Active tips and the sound quality and fit is noticeably better than the stock silicone) and perfect for getting in the groove when training. Having used wired sets all my life up to this point, it's amazing how quickly the body and mind adapt to the immersion of the "personal soundtrack" in your head without the tangible snap back to reality of wires getting caught on equipment or appendages.

    Now onto the bad. I've experienced the power issues that many here have reported, with the headphones just refusing to turn on or dying in the middle of a workout. This already is my second pair, and the same problems are manifesting. Device pairing is a snap, when the device actually manages to power on. To tout something as a *rugged* premium product, only to have it fail so easily is inexcusable. I've gone back to my battle-tested Monster iSports...true wireless dependability is fiction right now as far as I'm concerned.

    I started out really enjoying these headphones. The freedom to move my head and look around while running; without the continuous pulling on my ear-buds was far more appealing then I thought it would be. The sound quality was better then my Boss headphones. The battery life was impressive and connectivity to my phone was flawless.

    I was very happy with my purchase for just shy of 6 weeks or more specifically 28 runs. Near the end of my 28th run my headphones cut out only being mid way through their charge cycle. When I plugged them in to charge the LED turned on for a minute or so, and then turned off never to be seen again.

    I called Jay Bird support and went through the troubleshooting process, which ultimately confirmed that my buds had died. Being passed through to the RMA process after purchase confirmation, I was told that I would need to send my dead buds back, and once received a replacement product would be sent to me.

    Here is my synopsis. The Blue Bird headphones are a great product in design and functionality. With a $200 plus dollar price tag though, Jay Bird is placing themselves in the premium product category. The fact that my premium product died in such a short time period is disappointing but could be a one-off issue.

    The fact that I have to pay out of pocket to return my product to California, wait to have it received and processed and them wait again to have my replacement sent back is certainly not what I would quantify as a premium product RMA process.

    I can’t help but feel that if this product line failed infrequently, a more customer service friendly RMA process would be in place.

    Not what I expected

    I thought these would be very cool. I tried them on and they didn't stay in my ear. It didn't matter which gel I popped on. The ear bud part is so big (probably because of the wireless feature) that it weighs down the bud and slides out of my ear. I have to say the biggest disappointment though was that when you change volume up or down there is an audible beep and a slight pause in music playback. For the price I paid this was unacceptable. I give 2 stars because the sound quality was pretty good and the materials are premium. I returned them to apple the very next day.

    Difficult to Use

    In order to get the buds to even work, required around 30-40 minutes of setup dealing with cords and placement. Overall too complicated.Set volume on maximum and the still was not loud enough. Not the best fit in the ear, so if working out they would constantly slide it. However they were advertised to be for active users.

    I'd say these are the best you're going to get for bluetooth headphones - sound is really good, they're comfortable, lightweight, and super convenient. really, amazing idea.

    i do have some issues with the design, which unfortunately detracts from the quality. one being the cable tie method in the back (they cables will eventually slide out very easily - i ended up having to tape the cables in place)

    the other thing is the way the earplugs slide on to the unit. they pop off. the little ear shield part as well, there is nothing to actually hold it on aside from the friction of the rubber and plastic, so they will eventually fall off and you lose them. I had a pair of these for about a year, and now the left speaker has blown. these do good sound deadening, so i don't even listen to them loud.

    I also had an issue where the power button simply wouldn't work unless i plugged them in to usb for a moment. i would have them on the charger at work, i would unplug them and walk to the train, try to turn them on and nothing. as if the battery was completely drained. when this happens, if i momentarily plug them in to USB and unplug them again, they will then turn on, and last me the life of the battery. just kind of a weird glitchy thing that happened off and on.
    basically, just some quality control issues and some not-so-thought-out design choices that frustrate me.

    that said, i need a pair of bluetooth in-ear headphones, and these are the best option...so im off to buy another pair now.

    Sound good, USB cable faulty

    I picked this up as a replacement for a set of Bowers & Wilkins C5 thinking I'd like a nice BT headset. They sounded very nice, fit seemed good, although I wasn't able to use the ear locking things. I'm not sure how well they would stay in if I got hot and started sweating. My problem was with the USB cable. The first time I tried to charge them, the metal end of the cable plugged into the charger broke off when I pulled the cable out. For the price of these, I would have expected better quality.

    When they work, they're great

    When they work, the sound and quality is great. I've had multiple issues with them not working. Not holding a charge, and then Jaybirds the company hasn't been that responsive. I love the no wires, but this is the third brand of BT headphones and I may have to go back to the dreaded wires.

    Couldn't get fit to work

    Had these headphones for a couple of weeks. I've concluded I can never get used to the fit. They won't sit correctly, resulting in loss of bass. Decided to sell oh craigslist and get another over the ear type. Some people may get the fit to work for them, but many including me could not. Try before you buy.

    What do you mean by Premium?

    My Jaybird Blue X Premiums have a crackly and intermittent connection. I literally have to sit with my cheek up to the screen of my Macbook Pro to get a connection that isn't just awful. If you are sitting less than one foot away from your laptop transmitting the Blue-Tooth signal, forget about it. Its so choppy and static ridden, its just a waste of effort to charge (the charger cord is awkward anywhere you put it), and connect and INSTALL THEM INTO YOUR EAR. After 9 attachment options they still won't remain in place on the earpieces, or in my ear. And I'm supposed to be doing outdoor active things while using my Jaybirds? No way, they'd be lost or thrown out in frustration within 10 minutes of a jog. I'd rather be connected with a wired pair if I have to sit this close to my computer. However, the sound blocking feature is very true and does enhance the quality of sound for what its worth. At the price I paid for these "premium" blue tooth headphones, I'd expect a listening experience to be far less FUSSY! Maybe we should discuss how the word "premium" is a subjective term and apparently I have a very different idea of what it should mean compared to Jaybird. The sound quality is very good if you can get them to connect and aren't moving around AT ALL. Tilt your head back to rest while watching a movie and it sounds like opening candy wrapper or eating potato chips. Perhaps my pair is defective and I should speak with the company. The other difficulties regarding the design of the earbuds I can live with I suppose, but at $180 with Blue tooth issues in the year 2014??, I draw the line...absolutely not! Thanks for reading! :)

    Horrible fit

    Maybe these headphones just aren't for me. I mean, the earbuds don't really fit that well. I have to push them in to hear the low notes. And even then, the sound isn't incredible. The sales guy at the Apple store told me he ordered some memory foam tips that improve sound quality. I m-a-y give them a try. But after reading the reviews about sweat, I may be better off just returning them and finding different ones. I'll be returning them tomorrow.

    Good, until they fail.

    These headphones are great and I've been using them at the gym every day. Unfortunately they're not really sweat resistant despite what they claim.

    I've now had two pairs fail on me in the exact same way due to sweat getting inside the headphones and shorting them out. The devices both have refused to power on, and believe they're fully charged when attempting to charge them.

    Add in shipping to RMA the headphones back twice (more than $60), and this is a very expensive pair of headphones that claim to be sweat resistant but actually are not.

    Great Headphones but not with Heart Rate Monitor

    These headphones are great. The sound quality is good, they stay in your ear and you don't have to deal with a cord flopping around while you're working out.

    However, as a sport headphone, I would expect them to simultaneously work while wearing a heart rate monitor. They don't. I have a Polar H7 and an iPhone and after contacting both Apple and Jaybird, I learned that the iPhone iOS does not allow headphones to be used at the same time as other Bluetooth devices. You will see reviews that say they should work together because they have different protocols, however, they don't. You can use a keyboard and mouse together or headphones and a keyboard together but if you're using an iPhone as your smartphone, you can't simultaneously use headphones and a heart rate monitor. For anyone who runs, bikes or works out with a heart rate monitor and simultaneously wants to listen to music, you're out of luck if you own an iPhone. I hear you'd have more success with an Android or other smartphone but I've been using Apple products for over 20+ years so I'm unsure.
