    Beyond Expectations!!

    • Written by from Park City

I received the JayBird X Premium Bluetooth Headphones for Christmas and I have to say, they are truly amazing! I consider myself a bit of a headphone snob, being very partial to Bowers and Wilkens. I have to say, the sounds quality is superior to even my B&W headphones.

Take the time to size them to your ears with the appropriate buds and you will not believe the quality of sound. Easy to use, easy to charge. After having a cord to my phone for years and years, the freedom of exceptional bluetooth earbuds is so much fun.

I cannot recommend them enough. Revolutionary. Truly revolutionary.

(Helpful Hint... Watch YouTube videos related to fitting and inserting them into your ears appropriately. Will help significantly. Directions that come with the earbuds are subpar.)

    Awesome Earbuds

    • Written by from Marietta

After trying just about every bluetooth earbuds available, I've settled on the BlueBuds. Although I hesitate to say too much about sound quality since for in-ear buds it depends so much on the listener's anatomy and preferences, these buds sound great. Good strong bass but not exaggerated (i.e. perfect even for jazz or classical). The retention system works wonderful, battery life is fine, and the buds are nice and light. The strap adjustment also lets you eliminate the annoyance of having the cord slap against the back of your neck while running. And, oh yeah, the company has awesome customer support.

    Amazing fit and sound!

    • Written by from Toronto

I was skeptical when I forked over $200 for these buds but one day in, I am convinced. The fit took a little of fiddling around with but once they are in you are set! Sound is great. I recommend it so far!.

    Worth Every Penny!

    • Written by from Prescott

Not as much bass as my my wired Bose MIE2i ($150) but better mids and highs, not as clear as my Etymotic ER4P's ($300+) but much deeper bass. A nice compromise between the two. Must have a good seal in the ear to get the sound these are capable of. Amazing range, I leave my 4S on my workbench and can walk around a 3000sq/ft garage full of large vehicles and you'd never know they weren't wired to my phone! They even work through concrete/steel walls (only 1 wall at a time). If anyone is having range issues YOU are doing something wrong. Great battery life for in-ear BT and they weigh next to nothing. Charging cable is horrible (too short, too stiff and its flat) but its standard micro USB so its easily substituted with something better.

    Best Wireless Headphones!

    • Written by from Flemington

Being 100% honest I've never had a better experience with headphones. These are high quality, modern looking, & preform perfectly. The headphones don't have an issue staying in your ear like many others (even without using the included fit gel things). Honestly I find them even more comfortable without the fit gel inserts. The bass is definitely there & the sound is wonderful for in-ear buds. Most important, the connectivity is amazing I forgot my iPhone on one side of my gym walked 50-60 ft to the water fountain and still didn't realize I left my phone because of how good the connection was. I highly recommend these to anyone but especially people who work out regularly like myself. We'll worth the price, you'll be happy you purchased them.

    Great Headphones

    • Written by from CEDAR PARK

I had originally gone into the Apple Retail Store to purchase another set of Bose in ear headphones. Then I saw some wireless headphone. The employee said that they were great so I thought I would give them a try, I am glad that I did because they are great. They pair with my iPhone very easily and they are comfortable. Mose head phone fall out of my ear especially the EarPods. These headphone like the Bose head phone have the ear piece that keeps the headphone in your ear securely. If you haven't tried wireless headphone and you are very active and like the not accidentally grab your cord in the middle of a run then try these out.

What is dead may never die ...

    • Written by from Winnipeg

... but rises again, harder and stronger. 300 words isn't a lot of space, so, here's a great story in point form:
    1) I'm a careless dolt
    2) I put these headphones in the washing machine for 35 minutes
    3) They came out stone dead, although at first the red and green lights flashed alternately as if to say "help me" but it was too late
    4) I wept, for I had owned them for only six weeks, and they are expensive
    5) I tried to gingerly dry them out and it didn't work
    6) How many words am I at? I'm not counting this up by hand, man. Could we get a little JavaScript counter for the submission form?
    7) Sorry. Anyway, it's a day later, and I plugged them in to charge them, and the red light came on.
    8) Now they're working perfectly. Oh my god. I felt so gutted, and now it's like my execution has been stopped at the last possible second.

Sorry for the Game of Thrones reference, because I understand that not literally everyone watches or likes that show, but these are the headphones the Ironborn would wear into battle. Also, they sound really good. That's important, too.

Gripes: it's really designed for music, not podcasts. That's a fair assumption for a high-quality audio device, but it's irritating to have to dig out the iPad to go back 15 seconds. The controls on the headphones can only do whole-track skipping. And although they sound really good, they're not quite as good as the Sennheisers they're replacing, but that set was wired. That's it; that's all I got for gripes. Everything else is really great.

    Exceeded High Expectations

    • Written by from Duxbury

I agree, I saw the price and walked away - they decided due to the 2 week return policy to give them a try. They won't be going back as I love them. This is my first set of BlueTooth buds and the sound is as good as my other buds (Bose IE2 and beloved Klipsch S4i's.) The ability to walk around with lightweight buds and no wires is liberating. Rage is good. Battery life is excellent at 7-8 hours. Recharge time is around 5 hours. Occasionally my iPad stops sending for a second or two, but it is a minor inconvenience compared to the huge benefits with these buds. I have small ears and worried about fit, but the largest tips fit tight for me for some reason. I also bought some after market tips on amazon which are even better.

Give them a try from apple and see if you like them. My guess is you will love them.

    Great Headphones

    • Written by from Los Angeles

The price made me hesitate but decided to go with it since they were returnable. The small buds and ear pieces fit my ears very well, more importantly securely. I put my iPhone into gym bag & leave it on the ground while working out on different machines without any loss of connectivity. Very important. Like the idea of having the headphones in either under-ear or over ear configurations. Only used under ear though so far. Phone calls have been excellent without having to move the mic to my mouth. Have noticed that on occasion, there'll be breaks in feed but have not decided who is at fault there. They're momentary & not too distracting so far. Battery life is excellent. Recharging easy. Cord appears rugged. Time will tell there. Audio quality is great. I'm no audiophile. Longevity is a problem with me. I'm rough on them. But I figure that it will save my iPhone from me flinging it on the ground when I entangle the cords. Highly recommend these headphones if you can afford them

    Best earphones for running

    • Written by from Greenfield Park

Amazing sound. Great fit for me after about 30 minutes of trying different sizes of cushions and wings. I sweat a lot and they didn't move at all. Great Bluetooth range, far better than any BT device I own. Great battery life. Works fine with iPhone 3Gs, iPad and Mac mini. Lightweight and stylish. Used their Live Help Support service to get the pairing to work on the Mac (problem was on my side, I wasn't putting the buds in pairing mode) and this service is great!
Only words of caution: if you're the active type, you will most probably use the over the ear configuration, which is not good for phone calls, since the mic sits behind you head. Fit is everything. Really block outside noise, which is not a problem for me when I run, but could become a safety issue for some.

I had the non-premium Jaybirds for a couple of weeks and they had a glitch, so I returned them to Apple Retail Store and paid the difference for the premium buds. There is a world of difference!

---The bluetooth signal is much stronger (I keep my phone in my left pocket, which didn't work well with the less expensive ones) and the actual device is much sleeker.

---They're extremely comfortable; after working with all the different attachments I found the perfect fit. They flawlessly stay in when I run.

---The audio feedback is a person's voice, so I don't have to remember which beeps mean what.

---I'm told that when on a call I sound very clear.

The only thing to watch out for is that if you consider yourself an "audiophile," this product may not meet your needs. These are intended for runners and do fancy technobabble to the audio so that it will reduce "runner's fatigue." But as I am not an audiophile, I think they sound terrific for all around use.

thank you for engineering the headphones in such a way that they actually stay in my ear.
after using thiese headphones, at work.. then on the train.. walking home.. at the gym.. I promptly purchased a pair for my wife as well.
my only recommendation is that I would engineer them in such a wat that they mirror the BOSE IE2 headphones as they are more comfortable and seem to have a more secure fit.

nonee the less this is an outstanding product.

    Great item

Although the hefty price tag, these headphones are amazing. They are very comfortable and stay well in my ears. The jaybird headphones paired with my iPhone 5 and show the power left on its display, convieniant. The woman's voice over the headphones when turned on/pending to be paired is very soothing. I have yet to have any issue with them other than the still shock of the price. Will update if feelings change. :)

I have been using these headphones from Jaybird for the past 5 weeks and I have to say that they are the best Bluetooth Headphones for people who work out and indeed sweat! They include several options for your to find your "perfect fit" in the box, and I recommend that you take your time doing so. I played around with these for about 3 work outs till I found the set up that suited me best.

That being said, the sound is incredible as compared to other bluetooth headsets! Jaybird has done a fantastic job on this version's bluetooth. The connection to your device is very strong and hardly misses!

While you can take a phone call on them, that is really not what they are suited for. They are meant to help you get away and "Zone Out" so you can enjoy your work out!

They are a little expensive at $169, but well worth it!

    Best bluetooth headphones period.

    • Written by from San Francisco

The BlueBuds X contain the clarity and fidelity that will surprise any audiophile. Eventhough it's through bluetooth, it blocks out the white noise and delivers quality and clear sound. Because of it's secure fit, you can jam the earbuds in for great and balanced bass. My ears are smaller than average and with the right rubber bud, it stays very comfortable in the ear. It chafes a bit when i run, so i would recommend putting some vasoline along the rubber areas so it doesn't cause more chafing. The Battery life is super. It'll last longer than a plane ride from LA to NY. So you got an earphone that's great for normal listening, working out, multitasking, and traveling. All wireless.

Probably was too jazzed up about the music quality I haven't fully tested the mic on it. I've made a few phone calls with it, but probably I haven't used that part enough to give my final verdict.

About me: I own UE Triple Driver Headphones which are my favorite for normal listening and have used Sony MDR-7506 for recordings. I'm particular in my music and my MP3s have to at least 256kbps. If it would make sense that I have the storage space, I would only listen to FLAC files.

I would like this to be at least 20 dollars cheaper, but still I don't regret any penny and compared to everything else I spend money on, this one actually makes sense. Actually........I would probably have paid more for these.

Ordered these for my wife and just received in the mail today. Once you find the right fit with the ear cushion attachments these puppies will not come off with any jumping/running/exercise and feel really comfortable. The sound is really quite amazing for bluetooth headphones with deep, rich bass. Bluetooth range is not a problem. With a lifetime warranty against damage due to sweat, I think the bluebuds are on top of the heap in its category! Tried calling a friend using the headset and call clarity was great. Nice touch with the battery indicator showing on the screen of our iPhones too.
The only other test to determine now is how reliable the build is... Time will tell.
