    awesome battery case

Got my black/white combo, so far I love it since my new iPhone 5s eats out my battery life in less than 3 hours. PRO: slim fit case all time. the charging part actually can be taken off. It gives a full charge. CON: it was hard to understand how to put it on first if you are like me, do not like to read any directions; but once you get the feeling of it, it's super easy. I would recommend it for sure.

    1000 Stars for this product!

Let me say....I will always be a loyal customer to boostcase. I bought my first battery pack when the 4s first came out and it worked wonders. Then I just upgraded to the 5s and bought this in mint and it works fabulous!! Since the 4s, they have made the battery packs even with more punch, so I can't complain in that department. The customer service on the boostcase website is 5 stars just like apples customer service. Props to apple for signing boostcase and selling their products. Two great 5 star companies and 5 star products! Everyone needs to buy this case!

Excellent design and concept, Better than Mophie imo

Works great and I love the form factor, Hoping they offer the ability to purchase just the battery part of the case in different colors separately as well, On the manufactures site you can get different color cases separately (bit over priced), But not for the battery docking part of the hybrid case itself...A must buy, For many years i've used the Mophie juice packs on prety much all models of the iPhone and needless to say I recommend this one first... :) Happy Charging!!

-The overall design of the case that your phone snaps into could have more of custom design element to it on the sides, but that's more of just my personal preferences..

    Best of the battery cases

I looked at both the Morphie battery pack and the Boostcase – decided on the Boostcase because it comes with an iPhone 5s case that connects the phone to the battery case (with the Morphie you would have to remove any iPhone case every time you wanted to mount the phone it to the battery). I’ve used the Boostcase over a month now and it has extended my iPhone use to all day with heavy GPS use and screen-on time. The battery pack is coated with a rubbery material that improves grip. My only criticism of the Boostcase is that the iPhone case they supply is a very smooth plastic – I would prefer a rougher plastic or a rubbery coating to make the phone more secure in my hand.

Poor quality, no support, bad company

This product on the surface is very good, great idea. After purchasing two of these while they were on sale around the post christmas sales 2014, both of mine have now since died. Less than 7 months of usage. My first one, died completely, won't charge, wouldn't' do anything, 5 months of sporadic usage. Tried to get it warranty replaced, received a reply since it was purchased on sale, my warranty would not be honoured. Fantastic…

Opened my second one, this one was possessed by the battery devil. It would never charge the phone when you wanted it too and it would charge on its own when you didn't want it to charge.

again, support service from boost case was they would not replace it because its an anomaly and must be user error…

Due to my own stubbornness, I went back to the apple store and purchased one more in hopes it would be better. Guess what, DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Full refund from Apple store luckily.

3 dead products in less than 6 months. What kind of quality assurance is in this product? Where is the support? How does this product even make it into the apple store line up.

In case any one was wondering, I did not drop the case or the phone. My phone is my business lifeline so i treat it with extra care. I can't even recommend this product to any of my clients or friends, worst product quality, worse customer service ever.

    Don't Deliver What It Promises

Don't buy one thinking that you really are going to have 150% extra battery...My iPhone 5s with no open app, wireless and bluetooth off charge 50%. I changed my Mophie to this one because Mophie also did not deliver what it promises, but still better than this one charging 80% the case that is said to charge 120%.

Quit working after two months of normal use

I loved this product. Had it for two months, then it quit working. Too expensive for only two months of use.

    Cute, but broken.

Although the Boostcase is a great idea and has many amazing colours to fit everyone..
The charging cord that came with it requires me to jiggle it and bend it a certain way just to charge the case.
If I accidentally were to push my phone a little I'd have to go through the jiggle and bend all over again.
The button that indicated how much power I had left was completely off. It was red at first but 1 hour of charging later it was green.

    Not worth it.
    Returned after 6 days.

    Bad Quality

I was so excited when I bought this case. Then, a week later, it broke right where you plug in the charger. The part it fits into just broke and came loose without me dropping it or forcing the charger in, or anything like that.

Great Idea but poor on reality

I've always used Mophie's in the past but with the change to the iPhone 5S while shopping at the Apple Store noticed this new case. I loved the idea because I wasn't always needing the added charge of the Mophie and to be able to have just the inner hybrid case when I wanted the compact size and then snap on the boost case when I needed the added power supply. This all looked great at the store but now in real world use, I'm pretty disappointed.

The idea is still great but the extra battery supply is hardly what it says on the packaging. I haven't even been able to get a full charge off the boost case when my iPhone goes into the red zone. I've only been getting it back to about 92% which is not what you'd expect considering Boost Case says its 150% more battery life.

I love the gold color as it matches my gold iPhone perfectly but that's not enough for me to keep this poorly working case. I'll be returning it and will probably just pick up a Mophie Juicepack power station. Probably not as convenient but Mophie's have worked better for me in the past.

I wish 0 stars was an option

Piece of garbage, cheap brittle plastic, broke on day one where thin fragile plastic surrounds the camera area, and cracked in another spot down by the battery area. The case was not even dropped. Boostcase company very useless to deal with and very unhelpful, passing the buck to the reseller, even though it was still their product we purchased. Buyer beware.

    So disappointing

I bought this case because I have to travel a lot. The first few weeks, it worked really well. It certainly doesn't charge the phone to 100% after it's down into the red zone. My major complaint is with the rubberized coating. I took this case on vacation and the rubber coating started to completely wrinkle and flake off. After contacting Boostcase, they told me that the rubber apparently reacts to certain chemicals in hand lotion and sunscreen. So sad, because I bought this particular charging case because of the rubber coating. I'll be looking for another brand of charging case now.

    A very useful travel companion

This brilliant case and battery design means that you can stash the battery in your briefcase and use it only when you need it. The battery snaps on and off very easily and with no fuss. It charges your phone from the red zone to respectable if not complete levels, adding that extra power you need to get you through the day. If you are expecting this case to charge from zero to 100% you might need to look for the higher capacity variant. I absolutely love it and would recommend to anyone who travels.

    Great idea!

This case is light and works as described! It slides on and off easily and comes with a micro USB charger, but you still have access to the lightning port with just the inner case on.

I do agree with other reviews I've read that the material feels a bit cheaper than Mophie and likely wouldn't survive a heavy drop–would crack at least. But if that was the case, I would have bought an Otterbox for durability.

Doesn't hold up to the hype!

I had used a Mophie with my 4S for over a year. No complaints. I upgraded to the 5s a few months ago. The Apple Store salesperson convinced me the Boostcase was the way to go to add an extended battery. Plus it was supposed to give me even more added battery life (twice the Mophie).

I do like the separate case from the battery back and the convenience to attach/detach. That is great. But the battery life was supposed to be twice of the Mophie. It is not, and probably less. Plus it is difficult to recharge. I find myself twisting and turning the cable to get it in just the right position to take a charge. Very frustrating. It should not be this difficult.

Wish I would have purchased a Mophie.

    Avoid this product

On the recommendation of a store staffer, I bought this product at the University Village store in Seattle today and installed the protective "snapcase" before I left the store. When I got home, before I even charged the charger, I accidentally knocked the phone off of the kitchen counter onto the wood floor. The snapcase broke into a spider fracture and chipped in the upper left corner, creating a sharp edge that will keep me from ever using the case because the edge makes it impossible to use the phone. I will take the product back, but will seek a refund rather than a replacement. The snapcase is of such poor quality that it's disappointing that this product is being sold in the Apple Store.

    Disappointed with poor quality

I really loved the idea of this case. Purchased it 4 months ago and have been showing it off to everyone because I loved the idea of easily sliding the battery on and off as needed. But about 2 weeks ago I started noticing that the battery would not have a charge in the morning after a full night being plugged in. It was sporadic and come to find out it was because the connection, where the charge cord goes in, was loose. Then a week ago I started to have to jiggle the cord around to make it charge. Now the connection is toast and the battery is useless. 4 months of use for a case/battery is pretty bad for a $99 product.

    Well designed product!

This is a great solution to the iPhone 5 low battery problem. The white plastic case is a conversation piece by itself. The battery pack slides on and off the this case effortlessly. I leave the battery pack on while using the phone at my desk and it keeps the battery charged at 100% all day. When I need a slimmer phone that fits in my pocket, I pop out the battery and just take the phone+case with me. The battery stays home getting recharged.

No noticeable degradation in audio quality from the built in speaker or the mic. The battery pack has the added effect of diverting the sound towards you, rather than downwards. The recess for the headphone jack works fine with the Apple ear pods - can't speak for other models. Right angled headphone jacks would not work with this attachment. They do supply an extender dongle, but it's not the most elegant solution.

The battery pack has a micro-USB charging port. I use a dual Lightning/Micro-USB charging cable from Monoprice - I can charge the phone and battery pack together, or just the phone or just the battery pack.
