Inconsistent Performance makes this a loser

    • Written by from Napa

We were excited to install this solution - in a optimal situation which is your Bluetooth is on, phone is unlocked and outside of your pocket the lock will function correctly about 80% of the time.

The aforementioned success rate drops to 20% when the phone is locked and inside your pocket. This just so happens to be the most frequent situation of use - especially when your hands are full with groceries. So for us we have gone back to keys. They work 100% of the time.

Unil Kevo can truly claim this product works at least 90% of the time when the phone is in your pocket - don't bother

One additional note. For Ford sync users Kevo will never work if you just got out of your car and your phone was connected via Bluetooth.

    It's not perfect...

    • Written by from MIAMI BEACH

Let me just put it this way: I spend more time trying to make it work than if used the key...
I should have returned it when I had time to...
    I am disappointed...

    Limited and overpriced!

    • Written by from Key West

Just installed this lock. This does not connect to your wi-fi network and CANNOT be locked/unlocked remotely. This is a HUGE deficiency and makes the product enormously overpriced for what it does. This is only "automated" if you're standing in front of it. Very disappointing!! Where is the technology to justify this price??!!
You can email an "ekey" to another user, but they need to have a smartphone, download app, accept ekey, etc, etc, etc. - and gives them access to your house until you delete the ekey. What if i just want to let in the repairman or maid remotely when I'm not home? This is ridiculous! The technology for this is readily available. This should not be on the Apple site as a home automation product!
