This Keyboard > More Expense Magic Keyboard

I cannot believe this keyboard is half the price of the wireless one that has less keys and is less user friendly. I love that the keys are springy and raised up higher than the magic keyboard. It makes it so much easier and faster to type, especially if you have long nails like myself. I struggled to type on the magic keyboard but it is truly a breeze and pleasure on this keyboard. The keyboard is also physically raised up higher versus the magic keyboard, in my opinion making it much easier on your wrists and more effective for quick typing, which is what a keyboard's function is. This keyboard is sturdy and reliable, unlike the magic keyboard that loved to disconnect at times or act strange where I would have to disconnect the bluetooth and reconnect it again.

The only con would be if you have a small work space, the keyboard is pretty long, and competes for space with my mouse and trackpad.

ALL IN ALL, I love this keyboard, I never thought I'd genuinely enjoy a keyboard until I got my hands on this one. Highly recommend it.

    Amazing Keyboard

This is definitely my favorite keyboard of all time. I've purchased 3 or 4 over the years for my various computers, and it has never disappointed. The keys have the perfect amount of travel, and the widely spaced arrow keys are great for gaming. The USB ports on the side are excellent for a wireless mouse dongle or a speaker. It's also well-built, durable, and looks great. I can't recommend it enough!

Exceptional Keybaord - Well Worth 49

This usb keyboard is fantastic! I wish my iMac Retina had included this in the box instead of the BT keyboard which is tiny and cramped to type on, and totally nonfunctional to use all day for real work.

Its surprisingly affordable for an apple add-on at 49. Great keys, great typing angle, and all metal! The keypad really is a necessary feature in my opinion. Of course since this keyboard in USB is has a cable (yikes!) and it seems this one should be backlit but its not.

Even the solar keyboard from logitech is not backlit -- whats up with that?

Ideally, Apple should allow an exchange with a new iMac - the tiny wireless one for this one imo.

This is a great keyboard, but do your maintenance!

This keyboard works wonderfully, but you do have to perform routine maintenance periodically in order for it to continue to work well. It is very responsive and actuators are made for years and years of use. I have had this keyboard for 4 years and it is still going strong with no signs of giving up anytime soon. But I do the maintenance to keep it working well.

I know a few people who had problems with this keyboard version and the first question I would ask them is: How long has it been since you vacuumed out the keyboard. their answer: "huh.." Real Answer: You should vacuum out the keyboard every 3 months at a minimum. Take a small hand vac (with the computer turned off) and run it across the keys (not pressing the keys down) Reason: there are small cracks where dust, small hairs, etc. will fall into (just like any other keyboard) and you don't realize how much accumulates over the weeks but if you never vac your keyboard then the gunk just accumulates eventually being forced further and further into the mechanism until keys start to stick and then get stuck in an up or down position where pressing they key does nothing. question #2: Have you ever spilled water, soda, beer, etc on your keyboard. answer "yeah, but I wiped it off and plugged it in and it worked fine." duh, it worked fine because the liquid hadn't made it's ways to the mechanism. By continuing to use the keyboard you worked the liquid down further into the mechanism. the liquid then dried (if it was beer or soda) and left a compound that was detrimental to the mechanism and over time corroded that area of the components. Spill something on the keyboard? Flip it over immediately, place it on a towel and let it sit where there is good airflow for 24 hours (no less!) so the liquid can dry without you working it into the keyboard components. if you spilled too much or didn't turn it over immediately this may have no effect, but it's your best chance at saving the component. My computer won't recognize my keyboard. Is it plugged directly into the mac or into a hub. answer: a hub. if it's not a powered hub or doesn't have fully usb compliant hardware then it may not communicate all data through to the mac resulting in it being unidentifiable.

Best keyboard I have ever used

This is the best keyboard I have ever used. It is good looking and functional. I have had it for about five years and have experienced zero problems with it. It still types nicely and its easy to clean. I don't think that I will buy a different keyboard anytime soon, and if I do for some reason need another keyboard I would definitely get this one again. This keyboard has even gone so far as for me to dislike other keyboards because using this one is so satisfying.

    Great Keyboard

This keyboard has good performance, and I have actually noticed that I type more accurately, and faster. For $49.00, this keyboard is a really good choice.

    Best Keyboard ever

We had the old keyboard from the first Intel iMac, and the buttons consistently stuck. Rather than buying a new iMac, I know what a horrible reason to do so, we bought a new keyboard. This thing is perfect for email, documents, and world of warcraft.

    Great Customer Service

I called in after finding that my keyboard had been bent up a little bit in the mail (probably just due to heat), and the guy was like, "Okay, we'll just send you another one." He got my information, and another one is on its way.

I love these keyboards, and now I'm a fan of their customer support, too.

One of the nicest keyboards around

At first, this keyboard may look like just a basic keyboard, but it's much more than that. Even though I own a hp elite m9300 PC, I still prefer this keyboard over the standard one that came with my PC. It's a lot easier to type with this keyboard. I now type 11 words a minute, as opposed to 9 words per minute on my old keyboard. It's got a great design. It's sleek and stylish, though I really don't perfer the color of the keys. All in all, this is a great keyboard that is well worth investing in.

    The Best in the West

This is one of the reason Apple continue gaining market share because they make this kind of product. Thin, light with easy access to usb port. Whether you are right or left handed the port are easy to access. Keep coming up with good product and consumers will continue buying apple products....

    AMAZINg

This is the best keyboard I have ever used! I can't believe how amazing it is! That's it short and sweet! One thing though, the usb on the underside makes it hard for fatter usb devices to fit.

    Apple design does it again!

I must admit I’ve had my new keyboard barely 24 hours but I feel compelled to share my thoughts.

First, the design. Sleek...simple...elegant. All Apple products are rapidly moving in this direction and this new keyboard compliments that design strategy. The feel is hard to describe. The key stoke is very short and each key “bottoms out” with a decisive firmness. It’s taken no time at all to get used to the new feel.

Some of the function keys have been moved around so you’re going to have to look a fraction of a second longer for the sound keys, for example.

If you own an old keyboard, spend the 50 bucks and upgrade. Like all new Apple products, you’ll wonder how you lived without it!

    This is my favorite keyboard

I have used many window's keyboards, a macbook pro's keyboard, and the older imac keyboard. When i first tried the macbook's keyboard, i was amazed when i noticed how much faster i could type with it, and the design seemed so simple. When i saw the new imac, i knew this keyboard must be good. I finally bought it a year later, and it is better than i expected. They keys are well spaced, and the result is reduced errors in your typing. the height of each key allows for less time for typing, and your fingers to move quicker through out the keyboard. This is a product i would recommend to anyone looking to get a keyboard, wether it is for a mac, or for a pc. This is one great keyboard.

    APPLE DNA provides yet again

At first glance at the new Versatility sculpted in Aluminum Keyboard I fell in love. The absolutely simplicity of this new input device capture not only my imagination of the barely there, it sparked that old love I have with space saving devices, and now that I think about it those two emotional reactions are probably one. See I ramble because this keyboard is the EFFIN BOMB to be quite honest.

    Elegant wonderful keyboard

I didn't know what to expect based on some of the less than inspiring reviews, but from the first typed sentence, I knew this was the best keyboard I have used since my first Mac in 1988. I type faster and with fewer mistakes. The elegant anodized aluminum enclosure gives a feeling of rock solid stability which is lacking on the plastic ones I have used over the years. Kudos to the designers.

    Great keyboard!

I've had this keyboard awhile now, but I've only recently started using it full time on my desktop.. but, I LOVE it. I've gone through many mac keyboards in the last few years, but this one is perfect so far! It is a lot like the macbook pro keyboard - low profile, quiet keys.. and small form factor overall.. but its a million times better than cheaper competitors keyboards (eg: the kensington) Amazingly I find myself having less typos than I did with my old keyboard and the "getting used to it" stage took far less time than I anticipated.

I totally recommend this keyboard! Even for a wired keyboard, it gets the job done. Wireless wasn't a big option for me, since it is hooked up to a desktop.. and my toddler likes to try and steal the keyboard and mouse and run away.. at least this way he can't get off with it.
