    Best Keyboard Ever

Coming from previous generation Apple Keyboard.
Feel a bit odd at first but now I fell like this keyboard makes me type even faster.
    Worth every penny.

    I love this keyboard!!!!

5 stars all the way!!! I love this thing. Looks great, I can type just as fast on it as other keyboards as I do look at the keyboard fairly often. It's easy to clean, quiet, thin, works perfectly...what else do you need?? I like how quiet it is, no more CLAKKITY CLAKKITY, it's just a simple click now. The one real thing I dont like is that they took the apple sign off of the "command" key and replaced it with the "command" word. Best keybaord I have ever used. Great job APPLE!!!!

    Awesome

This is the best keyboard in the world. The nice responsive feel, the crisp clean look, and the thin style of the apple keyboard make any mac person without one, jelous.

    Elegant, Functional, and Perfectly Sized

I recently bought a Macbook Pro and this keyboard to go with it when I'm working from home. I love it! It works perfectly, the keys are nice to the touch, it's smooth, there are no clacking sounds with key strokes, the keyboard maximizes the available space, and the design minimizes the usual problem of dirt or dust (or worse) falling beneath the keys. I also love that it's so thin and rests so close to the surface of my desk. Of course, like most Apple products, it's beautiful and elegant to match its functionality. Finally, I think Apple has a tendency to be a bit over-priced, but not in this case: This keyboard warrants the $50 that I spent on it. All and all, a wonderful product!

    Aluminum + Apple = Yummy

I bought the keyboard, admittedly, because it matches my Apple Cinema Display and PowerMac really well (in other words, its sexy). But it feels sexy too. Trust me, if you can type, you will love this even more! I can type 75 to 100WPM and this keyboard keeps up no problem.

I also have no problem syncing my iPod shuffle on it. Haven't tried my full size iPod yet - I've read that it doesn't work. I have a feeling it will. :)

    Excellent!

I've used this for a couple of weeks now and I can say it is an absolutely fabulous keyboard. So different than the typical. Wasn't sure I'd like it at first, but it's really great. Very fast typing. Matches my MacBook in feel of the keys.

Downloaded the keyboard update after connecting (just use Software Update and it will find it). All keys seem to work fine except I can't fine numlock for the number pad. Found this problem in the PC ver of Excel working under Parallels--the number pad doesn't type numbers, but I don't know how to turn it on.

I like the dashboard and expose keys on F4 and F3.

USB ports (2 of them) give me a low power error when I hook up my cell phone. Weird since it should be a pass-thru to the MacBook. Microsoft mouse in the other port.

Very pleased overall. Plus, there's the WOW factor when people stop by my desk. Have to lock it up at night, though, to make sure it will be there in the morning!!

    Excellent!

People are using some pretty strong words in their reviews like, "love, best friend, passion, i sleep with my new keyboard. I try to save words like "love" for things that not objects. This keyboard does what Apple said it would do. Like everything else Apple, it's sweet. Excellent keyboard, but I don't sleep with it.

    Nice keyboard, sexy looks

Like most people before me, I really like the feel of this keyboard. As a longtime user of the old Mac keyboards and a professional designer, though, I feel like they kind of blew the function key design. By doubling up the function of the F7 to F12 keys, they made for a frustrating experience for folks who use keyboard shortcuts and modifier sets in professional applications. I would love to have the preferences for the keyboard be non - global - meaning that when I'm in an application like Photoshop or Flash, the keyboard reverts to software functionality, but when in the finder or other Apple apps, it goes to hardware.

    amazing

This is by far the easiest and most well designed keyboards I have ever worked on. I love the design, having a nerve disorder in my right arm and hand, and designing 14 hours a day. It has made an immense difference in the short time that I have been using it. A MUST HAVE for anyone that spends s ton of time on the mac, which is probably 90% of designers.

    Best keyboard ever!

My old Apple keyboard was starting to miss entire words when I was typing. I tried this keyboard at the Apple store in NY and instantly fell in love with it so much that I was emailing as many people as possible because it made typing so much fun. My only gripe is that the keys are slightly further apart than the old keyboard. But the good thing is that these keys are more forgiving so you can tap just the corner and it still seems to catch the letter. Awesome.

    Great improvement!

This keyboard has a faster, lighter touch, especially when compared to the original plastic version, which always seemed to jam laterally. It's similar feeling to my PowerBook keyboard, which I really like. The one "missing" feature: Apple should have sculpted the keys a bit more. These are flat feeling and my finger tips would like a bit more landing zone. Otherwise, we're very pleased!

    LOVE this keyboard!!!

Just received the new slim full length keyboard to replace my apple bluetooth one. I love the way the keys feel, the fact that there is no open voids for dirt, dust and food to fall in and that it has 2 USB ports where the BT one didn't have any.

The new key placements for volume and eject etc take a few min to get used to but in the end, it all makes sense and is rather flawless!

    A++ so far!!!

Very nice overall, but good for pro users?

Picked this up for my G5 tower the other day. Love it. The keys feel great, and I don't have to worry about dirt accumulating between keys anymore.

Only complaint is that the function keys often overwrite the same keys as some applications, requiring me to change the keyboard shortcuts for insert/overwrite edits in FCP, for example. But in Dreamweaver where you can't change the Preview in Browser shortcuts, even using the command key with F12 doesn't work. In fact, using any modifier (cmd, ctrl, opt) key with assigned function keys no longer seems to do anything except what the key is labeled to do. Kind of odd. Hopefully a future keyboard software update will change this, and also allow some more flexibility with using the function keys in general.

Also, using a G5, I had to do some fiddling around to get the Dashboard and Expose keys (F2, F3) to work.

So the keyboard itself feels great, but pro users will have to make some adjustments. Not a deal breaker for me, but worth knowing.

    Another Great Product - A+

Apple again has come up with a great product. This keyboard works great. The USB hub works with all of my devices ( No idea why people say it doesnt?) I cant wait till the wireless version comes out.. I liked this keyboard so much I purchased 3 of them to replace my regular keyboard for my Windows Desktops..

I'm glad I got it... but...

First, it lays almost flat on my desk... the picture gives the impression that it is fairly elevated in the back, giving a fairly steep angle between the top and the bottom of the keyboard - which would have been great. I don't type "flat", so I had to find a rig a small box to prop up the back, to give me a greater angle.

Second - the shipping department needs to be fired and/or educated about "shipping". My one-inch thick keyboard came in a 12-inch high box! My precious keyboard was placed on the bottom of the box, and 11 inches of packaging material was placed on top of it!

How stupid and careless! Put 5 inches of packing on the bottom of the box, then the keyboard, then 5 more inches of packing...

Show the guys in shipping how to treat packing a box like they used to make Big Macs... bun, meat, bun!

This makes Bill Gates look smart!

    Perfection!

GREAT! Such a great improvement... so much easier to type on! I can already speed type but now can type even faster since I don't have to worry about the signal transmitting and losing keys! And no longer need to keep a thing of can air on my desk to clean it! My only complaint is the price... they should make it an even $50 so we don't have to pay shipping! And a keyboard/mouse bundle would be nice!

    USB Useless

I like the design and the function of the keyboard, however the big shortfall is in the USB connections. The ports are useless because they do not supply any power to run devises. For example want to plug in your IPOD it won't work, want to plug in a USB wireless mouse no go.
I called tech support and received two different answers. The first one was that the keyboard I have is defective, and the other answer I received from the store is that the USB on the keyboard is USB 1 and it will not power anything.
