    Nice Job!

Mouse is very good thus far! I only subtract one star due to the REALLY low profile, it takes a little getting used to.

    Magical, yet expensive

    • Written by from Singapore

This mouse is another excellent product released by Apple, and characteristically it is expensive. It's a great product, all the features work very fluently. Scrolling is very intuitive and responsive, and while it's not a gaming mouse it does't perform too bad while playing games. It's also compact, and it just looks great in general, but it does't live up to the 70 dollar price tag...

    Great mouse with one exception

    • Written by from Texarkana

I read most of the reviews before I purchased the mouse, and was somewhat leery about buying one. I decided to take a chance, and I'm mostly glad I did. I'm not having any of the problems the other reviewers have had, so I'm happy about that. The problem I have with mine is that it looses connection with the laptop, and it does it fairly often which drives me crazy. Other than that, it's a nice little mouse.

    Pricey but good product

    • Written by from cold lake

I reluctantly bought the magic mouse for 2 reason. First all the bad reviews and second the price. I've been using the mouse for the last two weeks and so far I'm well pleased with it. I use it on my macbook air and it works great. The only down fall is the price.
I had to try a couple times for my mac to connect to it properly but once it recognized the mouse I haven't had a problem since.

In short if you're an Apple junky such as myself and don't mind shelling out the $$$ for a mouse do it!!!

    it's a little touchy...

    • Written by from El Segundo

The mouse works okay...I really wanted a simple mouse that is wireless...
I turned off all the gestures because all I really do is go up and down safari browser pages...

When you are in Google earth and other applications, it starts zooming. I've concluded that my other finger is moving a bit on the mouse activating some of the gestures when I don't want them (so this is a bit frustrating).

As others said, the battery life is not that good...but I have a bunch of Enteloop AA (white) rechargeable batteries on hand which I probably change about 1 time per month.

Nice design of a mouse...I have 3-4 of them for my other computers and have not had any failures yet (unlike other reviewers)...and my kids have dropped it on the ground a few times already too.

I have had no problems with my magic mouse. As a first time Apple user, I'm impressed with it's functionality.

Great for creating, not for gaming

    • Written by from West Hartford

I would highly recommend this for anyone who uses their Mac for creative projects and especially with OSX Lion, which augments its performance. This is a great multifunctional mouse, but the one function it lacks in performance is gaming. The sensitivity is too low (even with it turned up all the way) for gaming and the left/right click functions are hard to handle (eg. quick firing of guns in an FPS). Otherwise, great product!

    Great mouse, but

    • Written by from Deerfield Beach

I own a magic mouse since the first day it became available. I love this mouse, but now after using it 10+ hours a day the body of the mouse (made out of plastic) started to deteriorate. What I would like to see improved is an option to disable the scrolling in certain application (like Adobe Suite) and the side edges of the mouse a bit rounded, because after a while I fell the edges cutting my fingers.

    a well mouse indeed

    • Written by from Natick

The mouse might feel awkward at first and maybe you'd have to reorient your hand a little to scroll, but eventually you get used to it and it's fantastic. The multitouch looked impressive and was very useful, I can turn pages simply by swiping two fingers, and the fact that it can sense where your clicking on the mouse is great. I did have some trouble with it though, as sometimes it would not respond, and where I need to press both sides at once, the magic mouse does not pick up. Tracking is good yet I found it to be pretty slow, I had to set the tracking speed to maximum sensitivity, which would be way to sensitive if I were to use my other mouse. Yet thats a minor fault, as i'm not so lazy to go to preferences to change the tracking speed if I want to use the other mouse. furthermore, despite having multitouch capabilities, the mouse is very efficient in battery consumption, i would only have to replace the batteries about each month, give or take. If connection is lost it would take a long time to regain it and you'd have to click the button a few times for your mac to recognize it and that could be annoying.

Overall it's a great product although I would like to see some improvements as well as enhanced multitouch capapbilities.

    Good

    • Written by from Louisville

Got this to replace a piece of junk Microsoft scrollwheel mouse. The 360 scrolling action is great and much nicer to use. Feels a bit flat in my hand, but that doesn't really bother me. The only thing that can sometimes be annoying is when the side of my hand or finger brushes against the surface and causes an accidental scroll. If you're going to rest your hand on the mouse you have to keep it still and not wiggle or tap any fingers. So far I have not had any bluetooth connection problems with my iMac.

    Amazing mouse

    • Written by from Raytown

This mouse is absolutely perfect. It goes above and beyond any regular mouse today.
Its only downfall is its quite Thirsty. I have to change batteries often. And its pretty sensitive.

Overall i would recommend someone to get it.

    "DOLLAR STORE"

    • Written by from providence

The mouse is very good I love it...But the down side is the battery consumption, it consume a lot of battery, if you could go to the Dollar store and get a carton of AA battery you will be all set...

    Too flat

    • Written by from River Vale

Unlike others, I have no real probelms with tracking, accuracy, reliability, stiff or heavy feel on various surfaces, etc. It works pretty well. Yes, I'll admit the battery life could be better, but I use rechargeables and I expect them to discharge more quickly. However, I don't care because they're rechargeable. I also love the other Apple-specific features of this mouse such as the two-fingered swipes, etc.

The only issue I have with this mouse is that its profile is too flat. By this I mean that it sits quite low on the desk/table. When I place my hand over it to slide it or click, my hand is nearly flat. This makes the process of clicking seem a little awkward, it makes it a little harder to control feels ergonomically incorrect. If you are accustomed to cupping your hand over a mouse that has a little more height, this one will feel strange and a little bit uncomfortable.

So, overall, I like the mouse. I do not plan to replace it. I just wish it had a higher hump in the middle.

    Excellent Mouse

    • Written by from Kaysville

This mouse is great. It is comfortable to use, the scrolling is amazing. I love it. But the battery life is a joke. Im lucky to get a month on 2 batteries! Other mice I've had have gone 6 times that, and they only use 1 battery. The multitouch is great, but the battery life is horrendous. And the price is a little high for a mouse.

    Great

    • Written by from Rutland

This mouse is one of the best i've used. It feels very natural, and the scrolling with the multitouch is amazing. Other mouses feel unnatural to me now. The only cons are that it takes a little bit to get used to since it is a little heavy and quite flat. Also, the tracking for the cursor won't move quite as fast as i'd like (i have the settings maxed out on my mac), but that's just me. Overall a very good product.

    No Doubts

    • Written by from Battle Creek

A better idea than words can say.

However, it could stand to be a little wider and a little taller, too. My average sized fingers and hand occasionally right click or scroll.

Not much to complain about except it is made in China.

    Cool mouse.. but not perfect

    • Written by from Northridge

This is a great product that provides such a unique and sensational user experience. However, I really wish they kept the forth button from the original mighty mouse which I used as button for expose. And despite the nice looking design, predictably it is not the most comfortable mouse either. Other than that, it does deserve costing 70 dollars for its uniqueness.

    Tried it with heavy use.

    • Written by from Frankfort

There are always going to be bad features and so far the only one on this is the touch pad is the whole surface of the mouse, so sometimes when grasping it it will scroll when you dont want to. However the mouse is not heavy...I cant believe someone said that. I'm comparing it to its previous 'Mighty Mouse wireless' and this is hands down slimmer and lighter despite the same battery usage. My batteries are still at 90% after leaving it on for about two weeks. It just takes some getting used to to get around the trackpad being everywhere. I've tried it with heavy use, meaning portal, Diablo II, World of Warcraft and it all works fine. Ill even post my settings: Tracking--one bar to the left of FAST....Scrolling--three bars to the left of FAST....Double Click--two bars to the left of FAST. Definately try before you buy. Go to the apple store. The only thing I miss are the exposé buttons...They could introduce four finger swipe for us though...

Awesome, 1 problem - No Dashboard or Expose button

    • Written by from North Haven

Love this new mouse so sleek and cool, like microsofts newest keyboard and mouse but waaaaaayyyyy better!! Only complaint is that it doesn't have enough buttons to customize to all up the Dashboard and Expose. Loved that about my older mac mouse - oh well guess that's what keyboard shortcuts are for. GET THIS BLUETOOTH MOUSE NOW AS YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!
