This product has it's ups and downs,
Pros: Good Sound Quality, Convenient Volume Remote, Mic makes calls hands free and easy, Pausing with the Remote, little piece which can help stop it from tangling, handy case for carrying
Cons: Cheaply Made (went through 3 pairs in 7 months through regular use), Overpriced $30, Slightly uncomfortable when first start using them,

    Lovely

These are the best earbuds that I have ever used. The sound is clear and precise, and the ergonomic fit makes them much more comfortable in my ears than other earbuds are. The microphone on the remote outputs fair-quality sound; it is good enough to use for recording narrations as well as for foreign language programs like Rosetta Stone.

While the wires have become slightly discolored over time (about a year) and the soft dark grey bits are a bit broken apart at the edges, I have not had any sound quality issues.

The remote is very useful. Quick volume control and song-skipping is lovely.

    Pros:
Fair price for the quality and (somewhat) longevity (if taken care of)
    Great and balanced audio quality
    Quick and smooth remote functions
    Compatible with many devices
    Visually appealing
    Comfortable ergonomic fit

    Cons:
Very fragile and subject to wear and tear
    Only one color option
No wireless option (tangles galore unless you take the time to wrap them in their holder)

    Ok but........

    • Written by from Rajkot

The earpods are not that good, they do not last, the soung quality is very good but the body is too very weak, i think that Apple should do something so that we can rely on it, Apple creates premium products, but the earpods are not at all premium, sound quality is better than its competitors, but its competitors create more long lasting earpods.

    Thank you Apple

    Great product

I love these! In my opinion, they sound just as good as Beats headphones, without the noise cancellation. I like the conveinient remote, except sometimes it's confusing to know how to do some things, like activate Siri, or skip a song. However, that is all explained in the manual which is very easy to read and clear. The only thing I don't like is that dirt and debris very easily gets stuck beneath the metal mesh, and is very hard to clean out.

    Don't last

    • Written by from Powder Springs

I've bought two pairs of these along with two apple charger cables. Neither of them lasted me more than six months. I even had to replace it on my macbook charger after it overheated and burned. I chose to go with other cables from apple approved companies because the quality of the rubber around the cables that apple uses is so bad. Those headphones and cables have lasted me for well over a few years. Apple should make better quality charging cables.

    Poorly Made

These are poorly made. Only lasted 6 months. Wires already disconnected from pin. Older version are still working after 5 years. Buy any other brand and save money. Not even worth 1 star.

So when I got my first par of these earpods when I got my iPhone 5 they were awesome! They were the only earpods I used because I had no reason to buy other ones because I loved them so much. Then last Christmas I got my first pair of Beats by Dre. They are the studios and I love them to death. However I don't want to take them to school or run with them so I decided that I would only use them for home use and vacations. So of course, I use my apple earpods for everything else. Today I just tried using the earpods for running, and they stayed in! I wanted to buy earpods specifically for running but now that I know how good these earpods are for running, there is no reason to buy other ones. So overall I love these earpods and I would recommend them to everybody who wants good earpods at a good price.

The Sound is Great and well...

    • Written by from San Antonio

I love the sound from the EarPods. These are the perfect earbuds for sitting around reading, watching Netflix, or listening to music at work. Unfortunately that's about all you can do with them. They are way too smooth and even the slightest things like smiling or laughing too hard makes them fall out. Running with them is impossible. Between the jostling and sweating I almost just wanted to leave them in a trash bin. I really miss the design of the old ear buds, I wish I was still able to purchase them.

I am coming from Android and I just got an iPhone 6, I had a pair of V-Moda earbuds I got a few years ago and I paid around $100 for them. These EarPods are actually way more crisp and full than the V-Moda ones. I can't believe these came with the phone, but I guess that's Apple. Premium quality all the way, perfect highs and lows.

For all the people that say these headphones have a "bad design" it's probably because your ears aren't the right size. These will not fit everyone's ears. This doesn't mean they have a bad design. If they hurt after 15 minutes, stop using them and get other ones. If your ear canal is small, don't get these. They work fine for me, but maybe not everyone else.

    Worst product in apple line-up

    • Written by from Groves

I simply cant fathom that Apple being such an awesome design firm sells these badly designed headphone. The design is terrible. How do they expect these to stay in anyone ears is beyond me. The shape is weird, and the surface is so smooth that there is almost no friction to keep them in your ear. They keep sliding off every minute. The cord is also terribly designed. First, it is really short, so if you don't have a front shirt pocket, you have to hold it. No option of putting it in your jeans pocket because it wont reach. Second the mic is located specifically such that it makes it difficult for the person on the other end to hear anything. Most times I have to put the mic almost in my mouth for the other person to hear what I am saying clearly. Lastly, the mic keeps getting stuck in my shirt collar keeps pulling the ear piece out of my ear. APPLE what happened to ease of use?

    No idea why

    • Written by from Silver spring

My first pair lasted about two months, before both stopped working. I even cleaned the grill, but it didn't work so I replaced them. Two pairs later, the left earpod stops working when it was working perfectly fine that day and I have no idea why because I cleaned it for about two hours. I watched videos on how to make it work again, I read comments on how to fix them. But no matter what I did, it wouldn't work.

These are excellent headphones your money can buy, in fact they are way better than my Panasonic (extra bass variant) and Skullcandy (Ink'd) headphones in terms of quality of audio ouput. There is one major drawback in these Apple headphones - I am not sure if its only me or not, but these phones hurt my ears like crazy! I can hardly wear them for more than 15 minutes after which I literally crib in pain and take them off.

    Bad design

    • Written by from Raleigh

I've been disappointed with the quality of the earbuds that Apple has given with the iPhone since the beginning. They are extremely uncomfortable, won't stay in my ears, especially when moving around, and the sound quality is barely passable. Basically, they're junk. Not a very good pairing with an otherwise glorious piece of hardware technology. The buds that came with my 6+ were no exception. Surely Apple can do better than this? And don't get me started on the problems with frayed chords at the base of each end -- both the earbuds AND the power chords. It's laughably embarrassing for the company's image. Not to mention, just plain shoddy workmanship and design.

    uncomfortable headset ever seen

    • Written by from Pathankot

The sound is great, but after about 15m the unforgiving hard plastic form begins to hurt. If you find yourself swapping out the default silicone earphone tips for the small size on other in-ear headphones, these EarPods might be too big for you.
