EarPods built quality is the worst.

My sixth EarPods just failed. As the little jack snapped, I snapped and had to write this review. I like the way they sound but these were my last EarPods, because I'm not going to spend 30 € each trimester to get good iOS headphones. EVERY SINGLE ONE I PURCHASED BROKE. Wether it was the piece of rubber near the actual jack was damaged, or a little piece of the actual 3,5 mm jack broke off or one of the headphones died or back connections that I had to rotate the wire to get it going again. I'm sick and tired of it. No more EarPods. Thanks but no thanks apple.

Too big. Painful to wear. Poor sealing.

I just started to use these because my real earphones (Shure) were stolen. The fit is terrible and they are too large. It pushes agains the outer part of my ear while being too large to go in. I have to turn the volume up past the safety level just to hear anything because they sit so poorly. With my regular earphones I could block out all sound with just a few bars because the deal was much better. If you have small ears these are not recommended, as no adjustment is possible. Can only tolerate wearing for about 10min.

    Break easily

I love the fit and the sound of these. I've been through 4 pairs in about a year and a half. The mic remote quits working, shorts out and gets staticky. Not impressed with that at all.

    Uncomfortable and poor fit

I have a pair that came with my phone, which I've been using since I've misplaced my regular set. These things sound pretty decent, when they stay in. They fit very poorly and frequently slip out of place. In the last 30 minutes, I've had to stop and pick them up off my desk and put them back in at least half a dozen times. If they don't fall out altogether, they slip far enough out of position that I can't hear them very well. If I manage to press them into place enough to stay put for more than a few minutes, the hard plastic becomes very uncomfortable. I have a $9 pair of earbuds I bought at a gas station that fit better than these; guess I'll have to dig those out.

    Good but not reliable

Got my first earpods with my iPhone 6 - and was really happy, especially with the form, which totally suited my ears (but thats of course subjective). Unfortunately i just picked up my third pair since the first two broke. Not worthy of an apple product which are supposed to be high quality.

    Mine Broke

The actual quality of the headphones were great but mine broke within the first month of having them. And now the sound goes in and out.

    Poor Quality and Poor Fit

overall they sound great for $30, then the cord stops working (second pair) after about 2 months. I never could get them to stay in my ears regardless... You can do better - look online. Klipsh is a great place to start or the amazing Bose headphones.

    My Person Review and Experience

ever since I got my iPhone 6 I've own 4 of these things, they don't seem to last that long even though I find the audio to be okay. Apple should lower the prices on these EarPods just because they don't last that long and the sound quality is not the best but good. If I am going to be getting EarPods every couple of months just because at $29 I would rather just get real quality EarPods from another non Apple brand. I think Apple EarPods are genetic, they feel generic to me and they shouldn't be $29 specially when you have to buy new ones every time. #4 was my last EarPods I would ever buy again, totally disappointed after so many countless times purchasing apple device pieces from previous models because it was the same thing / issues.

Not as good as Samsung Galaxy S6 earphones

Inferior sound and lower volume compared to the Galaxy S6 headset from Samsung. The same songs have better bass and higher pitch and volume on the SG6 headset. At times I had to take them off and answer the door because the bass and sound were so good I mistook sounds on the SG6 during a movie for real sounds in my home. Either way you go I bought several pair new of both headsets from amazon.com for under ten a pair and shipping is free if your order is 50.00 or more.

    Short lived

I like them because they stay in my ears comfortably, even when I run. But the remote mic and volume control has a very, very short life span, even for a product of this price. It is a bit embarrassing for Apple, but I do think that their quality control is going downhill. My partner's macbook pro had a hardware failure after just a year of ownership. I will look for other earbuds since the last two have died within two weeks. They already kindly replaced one pair, but I can't keep taking them back.

I got these with my iPhone 6, after a few months it started acting weird and then it stopped working all together! I was quite literally shocked, apple product after all!

    Ouch!!!

These earbuds are great in regards to audio quality but if you have small ears it really hurts to use them. My ear became bruised and eventually the skin broke from using these, as the buds are super bulky.

    One side is staticky

The EarPods need to be built better, they have really good sound quality. I cleaned them with a dry paper towel and now one side is staticky and has a lower volume then the other side. Would love a refund

    REVIEW

these apple earpods are great for sound but they don't fit my ear and don't feel snug. Also they feel hard and aren't comfortable.

i don't know why they don't have silicone padding or something but the shape of these earpods do not fit people who particularly small ear holes...

two stars for sound and the ability to use the ear pod to talk while on the iphone

    just stops working

I bought these in august and they already broke. Nothing about them is broken but the sound just stopped working, very sad. during the time that they actually worked, they were amazing but because of the cost probably not buying another pair.

    They don't last.

I'm on my 5th pair and each previous pair has failed in one ear. Over the past 4 years, we've bought probably 6 iPhones, 2 iPads and an air book. I love the buds but after 6 months of daily use (I do try to be gentle with these things and store them in a safe pouch), one of the ears begins to lose volume and then totally fails. Very disappointing.

    poor workmanship

I have the iPhone 6 and I have had the earphones sense that phone came out. One earbud does not work anymore so I'm left spending $30 on another pair because non-Apple EarPods are not compatible with the phone

Good sound quality, but terrible component quality

Have had a couple pairs of these, over the recent years. They sound great at first, but the sound quality starts to degrade after about half a year's normal use, which typically shows itself in one of the earbuds' volume level/general sound changing, leaving you with an out of balance experience between the left and right side of the audio signal (e.g. higher volume in one side).

Very dodgy build-quality here and I think my current pair will be my last pair of Apple headphones.

PS: I am an audio engineer and thus know what I'm talking about.
