    One side is staticky

The EarPods need to be built better, they have really good sound quality. I cleaned them with a dry paper towel and now one side is staticky and has a lower volume then the other side. Would love a refund

these apple earpods are great for sound but they don't fit my ear and don't feel snug. Also they feel hard and aren't comfortable.

i don't know why they don't have silicone padding or something but the shape of these earpods do not fit people who particularly small ear holes...

two stars for sound and the ability to use the ear pod to talk while on the iphone

    just stops working

I bought these in august and they already broke. Nothing about them is broken but the sound just stopped working, very sad. during the time that they actually worked, they were amazing but because of the cost probably not buying another pair.

    They don't last.

I'm on my 5th pair and each previous pair has failed in one ear. Over the past 4 years, we've bought probably 6 iPhones, 2 iPads and an air book. I love the buds but after 6 months of daily use (I do try to be gentle with these things and store them in a safe pouch), one of the ears begins to lose volume and then totally fails. Very disappointing.

    poor workmanship

I have the iPhone 6 and I have had the earphones sense that phone came out. One earbud does not work anymore so I'm left spending $30 on another pair because non-Apple EarPods are not compatible with the phone

Good sound quality, but terrible component quality

Have had a couple pairs of these, over the recent years. They sound great at first, but the sound quality starts to degrade after about half a year's normal use, which typically shows itself in one of the earbuds' volume level/general sound changing, leaving you with an out of balance experience between the left and right side of the audio signal (e.g. higher volume in one side).

Very dodgy build-quality here and I think my current pair will be my last pair of Apple headphones.

PS: I am an audio engineer and thus know what I'm talking about.

    Not great for smaller ears

While the sound quality is fine, these don't actually fit in my ears. I can get them to stay if I'm not moving, but any kind of activity is out of the question. Moreover, my ears start to hurt after about 10 minutes of wearing them, I think due to them not sitting as they should. Although the aesthetics are nice, visually speaking, they are of little use to me. It would be nice if future models took size variation into consideration. People with small ears should probably look for in-ear buds with the switchable tips.

    They don't last long :(

After a few months the weight of the microphone or any movement of the cable causes the right earbud to crackle or cut-out completely for a split second.
I have already had my initial set with my iPhone 6 replaced, ill be taking these back to a store to see if I can get these replaced too.

Size comfortable and sound quality is very good.

Not like they used to be

For years, Apple headphones were made with a very rubbery material that was more flexible than most. However, the last pair I picked up feels extremely cheap. The plastic cable is extremely stiff, which makes it very difficult to coil them neatly before stuffing in your pocket. I don't want to spend 10 minutes untangling headphones each time I pull them from my pocket, so I'm very disappointed in the design change. I'm also very disappointed to find that Apple has made a design change without letting consumers know. Clearly, it's not an improvement or they would have trumpeted it.

I won't be buying Apple headphones any more.

    Not made for small ears!

I love the design of them, don't get me wrong, but they don't stay in my ears and really hurt. :(
Great quality, great if you don't have small ears.

    One size fits all :/

The sound is great... if I hold them in. These barely stay in my ears and sound like cheap headphones unless I press and hold them in my ears. Terrible design.

    Doesn't last

I don't care how good they are, they don't lasts longer than 6 months. This is the third time one ear bud stops working while the other one is fine.

The Sound is Great and well...

I love the sound from the EarPods. These are the perfect earbuds for sitting around reading, watching Netflix, or listening to music at work. Unfortunately that's about all you can do with them. They are way too smooth and even the slightest things like smiling or laughing too hard makes them fall out. Running with them is impossible. Between the jostling and sweating I almost just wanted to leave them in a trash bin. I really miss the design of the old ear buds, I wish I was still able to purchase them.

    Sounds good, hurts bad!

These are excellent headphones your money can buy, in fact they are way better than my Panasonic (extra bass variant) and Skullcandy (Ink'd) headphones in terms of quality of audio ouput. There is one major drawback in these Apple headphones - I am not sure if its only me or not, but these phones hurt my ears like crazy! I can hardly wear them for more than 15 minutes after which I literally crib in pain and take them off.

    Uncomfortable for small ear canals

Nobody in my family can get these to fit well—we must all have small ear canals. The sound is great, but after about 15m the unforgiving hard plastic form begins to hurt. If you find yourself swapping out the default silicone earphone tips for the small size on other in-ear headphones, these EarPods might be too big for you.

Decent sound and fit, but they stop working after 6 months

Good: they sound great, they're comfortable, and they're a decent price.

Bad: they stop working after about 6-8 months. The sound will either stop entirely, cut out in one speaker, or reduce in quality. It seems to be related to wear in the areas where plastic is joined with cord. The cord is just not sturdy enough for everyday use.

I have bought at least 2 every year since they came out. If I go to an Apple store, they will often replace them under AppleCare (if they have an appointment at the Genius Bar available). But I do not live near an Apple Store, and they do not return products from the online store after 6 months, so I have to pay $30 every few months. If there were a way to pay $100 for earbuds that can actually last a couple years, then I'd do it. Sadly, that'd actually SAVE me money!

these are horrible love the sound but apple needs to seriously stop kicking out support for models of the ipod shuffle, first the ipod shuffle 2nd generation with the whole cord switch, and now with the remote on the headphones ipod shuffle 3g should be supported will all apple remotes, if its not compatible then don't make it, because someone payed 50 dollars for an ipod does not mean to push them out like of they are not allowed. this is ridiculous apple, send out cases with the remote on them if you want to do things like this. :(

    Good sound but extremely uncomfortable

These earphones have very good sound. They may even be the best earphones available at this price soundwise. However, they are the most uncomfortable earphones I've ever had. I can not wear them for more than 5 mins.

    Great but....

I have had 3 pairs of these and never really had problems until after a lot of usage the sound quality deteriorates as well as the volume. I was really bummed about this and was stuck with them until I got myself a new pair of Beats (A lot better btw...) but I was sad that after spending money buying these they went so quick with usage.
