One of the best parts of buying an iPhone

    • Written by from Loganville

No one seems to talk about it, but these headphones are the best part of my new iPhone purchase. They fit comfortably in my ear, and that never happens with headphones. When I have these in, I can't hear anyone or anything, which I love. Although, it does cause some problems when my co-workers try to get my attention when I have these in. The sound quality is amazing, and sounds just as good as a nice stereo system.

    Got headphones right, finally

    • Written by from Saint-Petersburg

The first time Apple managed to get headphones right, and these are a jump straight from mediocre to fantastic. Must get.

    Very uncomfortable

    • Written by from Laval

I loved the old apple earpods, but this new model hurts my ears. They are very uncomfortable and fall out. What happened to a once great product ?

Wow! What an improvement over the previous version!

    • Written by from New London

I just bought an iPhone 6 (which includes these), and am coming from an iPhone 4s. I use my headphones every day and these are superior to the last version! There is no more rubber band around the edge (which peeled off), they are much easier to clean (no more mesh) and fit well. The bass response in these is fantastic for such small, "basic" headphones! The remote also seems to be more responsive and easier to click/engage. Nicely done, Apple!

Sounds great for the first 5-6 weeks

    • Written by from Delray Beach

I bought my headphones about 6 weeks ago and the right earphone is already half as loud as it was before. I see why they are only 30.00. I do not recommend these headphones to any of you.

Really nice product for default headphones.

    • Written by from Karac

It is really good if I compare with to other headphones/earphones that come with other smartphones. It is quite good, sound is clear and seems of quality. Really enjoy it.

These hurt my ears, not surprising considering that they are large and plastic. Looking for others with same functionality but comfortable. Recommendations?

    Earpods Work Great!

    • Written by from Indianapolis

Mine went through the wash in the pocket of my school skirt, and they still work! And now they're clean, too. I know guys in my grade who buy Beats and they break within a week. I've had the Earpods for two months (which WENT THROUGH THE WASH) and they still work. Even the actual silver part is slightly crooked and they still work. The sound quality is good, they're super portable, and I love the remote. I recommend these!

Comparable to more expensive products and lasts under regular use for years

    • Written by from Tulsa

Around three years ago near the original launch, I bought a pair for use with my iPhone 4. Immediately noticed the difference in sound quality back then; difference was like night and day, between the previous model of Apple earphones. Since then, I've had experience with other products. I think the Apple Earpods are some of the best out there, especially for the price. The audio is accurate and the bass surprises.

WIth regular, reasonable usage (i.e., not catching your devices by the cord or tossing them into the bottom of your bag) these should last as long as you need them to. You don't ever have to clean them; they dirty only very slightly over time. You don't really need the case, either. I actually used my pair practically every day until I sold them yesterday, for $15, and am about to open the pair that came with my 5s.

    Not for me...

    • Written by from Toronto

Everyone's ear is shaped differently. But the shape of mine, albeit pretty standard, is still not one these pods accommodate well. They fill in my ear perfectly, so it's not down to the size of my ear being too large for them, yet they still fall out like crazy even when I move my head just a little, save to say when I'm exercising, be it running on a treadmill, stepping on a stepper, or even exercising on a mat in a lying position. I'm bitterly disappointed - these pods are clearly not for me. I'm glad that Apple's salesperson assured me that albeit they're earphones, they will take them back without ifs and buts.

Just got my brand new iPhone 6 and the (also brand new) buds doesn't even work. I also tried them with my previous iPhone (4S), my MBP and my iPad, no sound out of it, so... straight to the waste basket where they belong...

Great Improvment, here are some pros and cons...

    • Written by from Edgerton

Been using iDevices since the original iPod. And for a long time the headphones that came with the devices where complete junk.

The remote on the iTouch headphones were a great improvement. And now with my new iPhone 6 they are actually a joy to use! Still the audio suffers due to the fact that they are earbuds, I listen with my PX360 Mixing headphones normally, so I can tell the difference in audio quality.

Let me tell you the pros and cons of these headphones.
    1. Light, easy on the ears, don't pull bad.
    2. Fits Adults and Older Teens well.
    3. Great bass range.
    4. Great mic and controls. In a great place, easy to get to them.

    1. They are $30... This is a little pricy for earbuds. I feel its worth it for what you get.
    2. They don't fit Kids/Small/Young teens ears well. Some might say it actually hurts to try using.
    3. The range is focused on bass, that being said, Highs and even Mids suffer badly. NOT TRUE AUDIO REPRODUCTION. Don't use for professorship mixing or music training.
    4. The insulation is still that rubbery type that apple clings to so much, so that it might crumble or break if you don't take care of them.

This is just my experience, trying to stay true and not present to much favoritism to apple, it's just hard not to.

    Terrible Design for comfort

    • Written by from San Francisco

Are all the reviews that say these headphones fit well and are comfortable to wear written by Apple employees? Without any type of rubber gasket, these headphones do NOT stay in the ear even when you are stationary. The hard plastic casing hurts like heck just trying to set them inside the ear. They may look great, but whoever designed them did so without any consideration that not all ears and ear canals are the same size... Yet again Apple pushes form over function without proper user experience (UX) testing. I now have two unusable pair of earbuds, one that came with my 5s and one from my 6 Plus. Anybody want to buy a pair at a very cheap price (just pay for shipping)?

    Awesome Ear Pods

    • Written by from Santee

Recently I began checking out new ear buds. After buying and returning several very expensive brands I found that the Apple Ear Pods were far superior to even the $100 plus ear phones. Nice job Apple.

    Good earbuds, junky build quality

    • Written by from Toronto

These earbuds came with the phone I purchased in September 2014. The sound was an improvement over previous incarnations of earbuds however after dropping the phone with the 'buds plugged in, the connector broke free of the cable. For $35 Apple should put a bit more quality into their products.

    Worst earphones EVER!

    • Written by from Scarborough

I bought these earphones because of all the positive reviews people have left for this product, but after testing them out for myself, I just realized that I made a big mistake! These earphones are TERRIBLE! They are so uncomfortable and awkward! The bass is very good, and the overall sound quality is amazing, but the actual earphones are not. I listened to one song on a decent volume level, and I immediately got a painful headache! Who came up with the design for these earphones? They are shaped so weirdly that they fit so awkwardly in my ears. The bass is so clear that it literally feels like the music is trapped in my ears and spilling into my brain! I couldn't even listen to a few songs because of the terrible headache I got after using these earphones. What a waste of money. What happened to the simple white earphones that came with the older iPod generations? Those were simple and shaped properly. They were round and simple, and the bass wasn't so strong that your ear drums felt like they were under attack. I fear that these earphones could actually cause damage to people's hearing. I warn you not to buy these, get something else!
