    They don't last.

I'm on my 5th pair and each previous pair has failed in one ear. Over the past 4 years, we've bought probably 6 iPhones, 2 iPads and an air book. I love the buds but after 6 months of daily use (I do try to be gentle with these things and store them in a safe pouch), one of the ears begins to lose volume and then totally fails. Very disappointing.

Apple saving money by giving cheap earpods

Since when did apple start compromising on quality? You pay 950 for a phone and expect good quality headphones. The new earpods sound like t is all treble and mid tones. Quality of earphones from a dollar store would be way better than these.
I consider myself an audiophile and own a few good ear/headphones -- jbl, dr beats and akg 3003i. The earphones with my first iphone 3g were way better than this piece of junk. Shame on you apple for giving these useless earpods out to your customers.

They would be awesome if they didnt fall out of my eat every minute, sound is great but next gen earpods u guys should offer rubber cushions or something for people with different size ear canals. If they would just stay on my ear they would be cool.

Great product, but a bit overpriced

The earpods have a good sound quality, but the sound leaks out and I'm still able to hear my surroundings. Not sure if it has noise cancellation, maybe that's why I still hear my surroundings. The bass in the earpods is impressive and heavy. They are uncomfortable at the beginning, but once you start to wear them on a daily you get used to the shape. At first it would hurt the inside of your ears and kinda scrape it too. Once you get used to them it feels comfortable and nice. The earpods do have a tendency to slide off my ear too. The one thing that is a bit dumb and gets a star deducted is the PRICE.... But its Apple, all they want is your money *cough* Tim Cook. Anyway, maybe $10 less will be acceptable and reasonable.

    The worst ever

These are the worst headphones I've ever come across. The sound is too quiet and the buds hurt my ears. I miss the old ones :(
I think we should get better headphones with phone this expensive.

    Wow.. Amazing sound for earbuds

I own a pair of Sennheiser 380s, which are studio-quality over the ear headphones, and honestly these come pretty flipping close to sounding as good as those. The clarity is unmistakenable in these little buds, although the sennheiser has bigger range and more bass better mids, but obviously that is to be expected. But WOW WOW WOW. for 30 bucks or, basically free with an iPad or iPhone, these are really really hard to beat.
The fit is just like any other earbud really. They are annoying for the first 10 minutes then your body gets "used" to it and stops feeling them. I have big ears though so, maybe others would notice bigger issues.

    Absolute trash

These headphones are awful. I wouldn't pay $5 for them, much less $30. Every single pair of headphones I've bought for around a half or a third of the price has been ten times better than these. While they don't fall out of my ears, they are extremely uncomfortable and require readjusting every couple of minutes. Also, the sound quality is very poor and quiet. If you want to listen at a volume where you can really hear the music, then everyone else will hear it too. The sound leakage is awful. Whenever I hear someone's music in public, I look over and they have a pair of these in their ears. Do not buy.

This is an all around badass pair of earpods. But I guess my ears are deformed or just my inner ears are too small. Haven't seen any comment review bout this yet of them. They are constantly always falling outta my head. Bring them available in smaller size. I'll give 5 stars.

    So uncomfortable

Sound quality is ok but these are by far the most uncomfortable headphones ive ever used... Within 3 mins of wearing you will feel pain. Not to mention they fall out of my ears every 5 mins

They sound great but feel terrible!

I bought these because I needed headphones that worked with my Macbook Pro. Some headphones with mics don't work correctly with Apple products, so I figured I'd get these. I purchased the earpods, had them in for one 30 minute Skype meeting, and by the time the meeting was over, my ear was throbbing from pain. I only noticed some discomfort at first, but now I'm two days later and my ear still hurts.

The plastic construction is too big for where they need to go in my ear. I'm not a small guy nor do I have small ears, but if the housing were rubber instead of hard plastic, perhaps they wouldn't hurt so much.

    iPhone 6s ear buds

Who on earth designed these! They fall straight out of your ear. I've resorted back to my trusty iPhone 4 earphones.

Cheaply made and doesn't last very long

These headphones are garbage. I've probably used these headphones 20 times before they started breaking apart. (And I take good care of my stuff). The headphones look and sound nice, but once you start using them more - God forbid you store them in a safe compartment in a bag - they fall to peices. My right ear bud stopped working, then soon after so did the left one. The peices that they're attached to spin around and break off. CHEAP GARBAGE! If you're going to charge people $29.00 for cheap headphones then you are insane!

These headphone keep popping out of my ear. They stink!

Ok sound. but they are worthless because they won't stay in your ear even if you are sitting perfectly still. I'm surprised that Apple designed such a lousy product!

I'm glad these were included with my iPhone 6S Plus, because I would not have bought them otherwise. They are uncomfortable and fall out of the ear. I didn't bother testing their sound quality, because of the poor fit. The iPhone sounds great with regular (over the ear) headphones.

Excellent audio quality, my daily drivers.

As earphones included with the iPhones, they are the best inclusion item ever. As standalone earphones, they are the best for the money. The type of music I listen to is UK Hardcore (rave music) on my HTC One M8 (with BoomSound DISABLED). If you listen to hip hop or rap music, stick with your Beats. You don't have to steal my earpods because they aren't going to make much of a difference, due to how hip hop and rap music is mixed. (808 snares, 808 hi hats and some lyrics, that's pretty much it.) I've had two pairs of earpods that were destroyed, once because my phone fell and broke the 3.5mm male end off, the second because someone tried stealing them from me but ended up breaking them. I will get a third pair soon, and I will be able to enjoy music in public once again without being blatant with expensive ATH-M50X headphones, because we all have standards. Except those who listen to hip hop or rap music.

    poor workmanship

I have the iPhone 6 and I have had the earphones sense that phone came out. One earbud does not work anymore so I'm left spending $30 on another pair because non-Apple EarPods are not compatible with the phone

Good sound quality, but terrible component quality

Have had a couple pairs of these, over the recent years. They sound great at first, but the sound quality starts to degrade after about half a year's normal use, which typically shows itself in one of the earbuds' volume level/general sound changing, leaving you with an out of balance experience between the left and right side of the audio signal (e.g. higher volume in one side).

Very dodgy build-quality here and I think my current pair will be my last pair of Apple headphones.

PS: I am an audio engineer and thus know what I'm talking about.

If I could give these earphones a lower rating I would. I've been through three pairs, all of which have become defective where the wire meets the connector. Perhaps this is a clever marketing ploy on Apple's part, make terrible quality earphones so that the gullible customer consumes more.
