    Okay headphones

    • Written by from warner robins

These headphones sound very good. The bass is pretty nice. The first few days of me using them they have made my ears hurt and sore. I hope they fix this in the next gen of headphones.

The music plays great on it than just hearing it on the speakers of an technoligy. This also work eventhough you acciedently forgot to take it out from the pocket and went through heavy washing and drying. I recommend this as an cheaper and for protective and great sound earpods.

Can't even wear them for a few minutes, stretch out your ears and make them sore.

    The bass is too loud

    • Written by from Nairobi

Due to the positive reviews I read, I recently bought a pair of Apple EarPods to use with my Macbook Pro. As I was expecting, they are very comfortable headphones to wear. However I was quickly disenchanted because of the deep bass, which cannot be reduced. This probably means that my EarPods will spend most of their life in my drawer.

These earpods have great sound and are very durable. My mom put them through the washer and dryer and they still work! It seems the only way they break is if they are run over by a car, which has happened to me.

    Lasted me over a year Oct 2013 - Dec 11th, 2014

    • Written by from Columbus

These EarPods are amazing, they lasted me 1 year and they were preowned, so I don't know how long they were purchased before I got them. Sound quality is amazing and they're durable. I've had my times of accidentally yanking the cord and out of my ears. Tip to make them last longer:
When you go to store them until your next use you should do the following:
    1) Take both ends of the head phones and hold them together in one hand
    2) Grab the bottom of the loop, bring them up, and hold them
    3) Continue to fold to desired length making sure you're following the natural shape of the cords, don't force bending
    4) Store in desired area
    5) To prevent tangling you can use a twist tie or rubber band to secure them

    Not worth the money.

I would love these earpods if they weren't so poorly made. The wire always falls apart and then I lose sound, I may as well buy the cheap $10 ones you can get at any store.

    Low to mid range headphone

    • Written by from Brooklyn

I've been using Apple earphones since iPhone 3GS and I have had a same experience with all of them. They start to be good when you have them out of box and use them for a few months. After that, they all start losing quality in noise and lower the sound they give out. Usually after 6months you find yourself buying a new one. The price for it is not cheap and it's overpriced for such quality, there are better earphones you can get with the same price range that work for you longer. I'm So disappointed by such wuality coming out of Apple production line especially after they aquired Beats. I was expectinn a better headphone quality for iPhone 6 series but it never happened.

If you're planning to get one of these, just don't do it, it doesn't worth it unless you're one those who need to own everything Apple produces.

    They don't last

    • Written by from Montreal

These EarPods sound great but they don't last. My 3rd pair in 18 months just died on me for absolutely zero reason. The remote stops working, the cord gets loose, an ear stops working. That just never ends. It just seems like a scam to get 40$ every 6 months. Really frustrating.

    Not Worth Buying

    • Written by from Roseville

In 2013 I got the Iphone 5 and was in LOVE with the headphones. A little over a year later the left headphone blew out and I was devasted because the sound quality was amazing besides the fact that they didn't fit my ears. Then this summer I got the 5s and was very excited to finally get a new pair of headphones, it's been about six months now that I've had it and the left headphone has blown out again, the side speaker on it still works but the main speaker is gone. I'm very disapointed in Apple's quality of them. Won't be buying another pair; why have great sounding music if you can't even hear it?

    Leap backwards.

    • Written by from Billund

I just got the new iPhone 6, and with it came these new headphones. I was looking forward to a new pair since the microphone no longer works in my old set, due to lack of proper treatment. I don't really know how to feel about the new design of the EarPods. I need cover for them in order for them to sit in my ear, but that was the same case with the old ones. However I was surprised and honestly a bit sad to find out that the sound quality had dropped. The sound is metallic and does not provide the same feel of depth as my old set does. It feels as if I am using a 3 $ headset.
Not the standard I was expecting from Apple with this product.

For their price, they really are the best in the market, at least for me. The previous headphones were also awesome, one lasted me two years but then I lost it, and then I got the 5s and I lost those too! The price raise isn't cool, like just because they're a different style doesn't mean that the price should be different too, but they are worth it.

    Great sound BUT extremely uncomfortable

    • Written by from Cheboygan

The earpods have great sound. They sound much better than the old ones. I got a pair to come with my iPod. However, after only 20 minutes of wearing them my ears hurt so bad and I started getting a headache. At first I thought it was because the sound was so good that maybe I had it too high. But after testing them with no sound at all, I found out it was the earpods themselves. The shape stays in my ear great, better than any other earbuds I've ever used. However, they are so uncomfortable, I only use them when I have absolutely no other pair of earbuds. I feel like the earpods are made for people with bigger ear canals. If you're like me and don't have gigantic ear canals, then be prepared, because it might hurt. Also, I've had mine for about a year and they have not broken like a lot of people are saying, but like I said, I rarely use them.

    Good sound, terrible quality/value

    • Written by from Traverse City

While the sound of these headphones is really good for earbuds, the actual product's durability/lifespan is TERRIBLE. I got my first pair when it came with my iPhone 5. They worked well for almost a year, when the left earbud stopped working. I went out and bought another pair, which lasted roughly 6 months until again: the left earbud stopped producing sound. After that I used a cheap pair of Sony earbuds (which still work after 2+ years). Then my dad got the iPhone 6, and gave me the headphones that came with it. I've been using them for a little over a month, and today the left earbud stopped working. I will NOT be buying these again, no matter how good the sound is for the few short months that they work. I've already gone through 3 pairs in less than 2 years.

Here's a trick that makes them sound even better!

    • Written by from Grand Rapids

If you press on the back of these EarPods while they're in your ear, you'll notice a definite improvement in the sound quality. I took a pair of foam earplugs I got on a recent flight, inserted them behind the pods, and SHAZAM!!! Great sound! They stay very securely in my ear, help to lessen outside noises, and are a LOT more comfortable than the earbuds with sound mufflers that fit way down in the ear canal.

    Not your typical bundled headphones!

    • Written by from Red Deer

I've used the typical Sonys for years for my mobile devices and they are great workhorses. Pretty much any bundled earbuds seem sad in comparison. With this in mind I just tried these ones with my new iPhone 6 and WOW.... As a fan of in-ear monitors I expected this ducted design to have some impact on the sound but this really is between earbuds and IEMs! Rich bass and full sound across the rest of the spectrum yet they're comfortable and easy to insert and remove. If you already know the clicking protocol from older remote headphones, these also support it so you can FF, REW and skip tracks forward and back with the right number of clicks of the play button. As soon as I tried these I had to come here to see how much they would cost since I'll be getting more as soon as these ones wear out!

    Haven't found anything better

    • Written by from Little Rock

Sound quality & comfort of earbuds are very personal & subjective things. That said, I've tried Klipsch, Bose, & Harmon Kardon earbuds that cost $100-$150. I listen to rock, pop, blues, & some jazz. I am a hobbyist musician & consider myself to have a pretty discerning ear. In the under $200 price range, I have not found any ear buds with better overall sound quality or comfort. I have not tried custom fit earbuds (that usually cost over $400) so I can not comment any any comparison to that category of earbuds. EarPods produce deep, rich, balanced sound & stay in my ear without causing discomfort. Unless you're looking for over the ear, true noise canceling headphones, for $29 (or free with your new iPhone) these are pretty much all you need.
