    The best $30 headphones available

Me personally, I hate in ear earphones, especially the ones that look like a tube, they never stay in my ear and are extremely uncomfortable, but with these Apple EarPods I can easily listen to music for long periods of time without any discomfort as well as easy fit inside my ear. Not only are they a perfect fit but the sound is very high quality and doesn't disappoint whatsoever. Highs and lows are perfect and everything in between is nice, and when it comes to directional listening I can say that it is very clear also.

    No good

These earphones are incredibly uncomfortable. They are one size so do not fit all ears and make your ears hurt very quickly due to them being solid, with no silicone grips. The connection gets very static sounding if the plug gets moved while in use.

    It doesn't last long

I just got my phone recently and the earphones stopped working for no reason I don't want to waste $29.00 dollars for something that doesn't last a long time.

I wish there were more stars for rating

I don't find a way to edit my previous review so here goes my edit. I opened the box my iPhone 7 came in to discover lightning cable ear pods. In my previous review I stated it would be nice for Apple to include these along with the adapter. Obviously I pulled the adapter out of the box for the drive home from the ATT store, and didn't look in the box for new pods. I'm 100% happy now. Not only do these ear pods fit fantastically in my little ears, they sound better than any other head phones I have ever owned, and I don't need to fool around with an adapter anymore. Thanks APPLE! Now, where are those air pods you keep talking about? Bring 'em on! I'm ready for the next step in listening to my iPod touch and iPhone 7. Hoping my Touch will work with them. No reason to think they won't.

    Best earphones

Every year i get a new iPhone and this year i got the new iPhone 7. So in total i have 5 earpods and they are amazing. The earpods that came with the iPhone 5 are still amazing and in very good condition. Apple products quality and durability show us why apple products are better than other products.

    Bye Beats.

These are a major upgrade from the previous headphones that would come with a phone. Deeply comfortable and the sound quality is clear. I don't have to turn up the volume very high either to achieve excellent sound quality. Excellent move by Apple. Wireless or not, these are my new favorite go to headphones; whether for the gym or doing homework.

    not good fit

They sound really nice except they fall out of your ears quick because too slippery. I would prefer the bubble ends like Samsung.

    Seriously awful

The sound is really good, holy cow, why are these things so huge and hard? I tried to wear them while listening to music, but I go through only 1 song before my ears just HURT. They are way too big and hard.

very pleased to the design of the earphone

Today, I broke by QY-90 bluetooth earphone, which was very cheap.
Because I'm kind of sick with the short usable time of BT earphones, I decided to go back to wired one.
I know there is already a lighting wired earphone from Apple, but decided to buy this 3.5mm one, because it can be used with any devices without a lightning port, e.g. Mac, Windows PC, Android phones, and so on.

I didn't understand the design of this earphone at first. There are two places where sound comes out. One is at the end and the other one is in the middle of the ear piece. I wondered why.

After using it, I found out that it's very clever design. You know... there are many people who lose their 'hearing' capability due to earphones, which output sound directly through the ear tunnel. It's not good for your tympanum. However, this Apple's one is not directed to that. The one on the tip side will hit the entrance wall of a ear and weakened. The one on the middle of the ear piece is not pushed into the ear tunnel by design.
So, it's kind of smart design for your ears.

I know that there are other kind of earphones, which is not attached to your ears but the bone under your ear (outside). If that bone is trembled due to speaker of earphones, you can also hear things from the earphone. It's said to be better for your ear health, but when I looked it up at Amazon a few years ago, such earphone was hard to find and once there are, they were expensive.

This Apple's earphone is kind of hybrid of such earphone and traditional earphone.
Unlike other earphones, it's comfortable to me ( means it can be uncomfortable to others. ;-) ).

My previous BT QY-70 didn't abide by the 'Sound Limit' setting, but this one did. At first I wondered why the volume was so low. :) I've used the 'Sound Limit' setting for years, and forgot its existence.

One thing I am sorry about this 3.5mm one is that it costs as much as the lightning version.
Because more and more lightning equipped iPhone/iPad would outnumber as time passes, and probably Macs could adopt the lightning port ( It's absurd that you should buy one earphone for iDevices and another one for Macs) in near future, I think it's more reasonable to lower the price for this 3.5mm one.

It's a little pricier than many 3rd parties' ( well, there are even much more expensive 3rd parties' also.) I like its build quality. Nice job, Apple. I like this design really a lot. It's practical, elegant and cute.

Nice sound quality and volume control-too bad they don't fit my ears!

I got a pair of Apple earbuds with my iPhone 6s. I'm not sure if they are like these or like the other ones on this site. So I am wiring basically the same review for both of them. They do not fit my ears. I tried them out for the first time and cannot keep them in my ears. I do not do extreme activities - just walk my dog and like to listen to music as I walk. These kept falling out of my ears and I kept trying to push them in-one ear is almost raw from the hard plastic rubbing against the inside of my ear. I can't believe Apple would design something so poorly. I am going to take them back to the Apple store and see if they can give me something else or if these come in a smaller size. If not, fortunately, my 3 cheap pairs of earbuds (all of which fit my ears very well, thank you) seem to work with the pPhone I have-the plug in fits the iPhone jack. Thank God!

They last about 9 months. Shoddy construction

These things are terrible. No wonder apple is trying to make us all go wireless. The jack goes bad in about 6 months of normal use. Stop trying to make us buy expensive wireless headphones and make these things a little better. The jack connection is the first thing to go. after that, the audio will start to go out. It's happened with every pair I've had over the years.

    slippery suckers

These do not stay in my left ear. Right ear is fine, only occasionally falls out or slips. The left does not fit my ear at all, and with no grippy silicone, it's out of my ear in about 5 seconds. Do not fit all ears.

A more intelligent design would be welcome.

I've been using in-ear-canal Etymotic Research for a number of years, first the 6i and now the hf5. Wonderful sound and they stay in your ear (although they may become uncomfortable after a while). I got the Apple ear pods a week ago when I bought an iPod Touch 6th gen. After I figured out how they go in the ear I was impressed with the sound. It's bigger than the Etymotic but it has a pleasing clarity to it - I listen to a lot of Bach for piano.

What I don't understand is how Apple can make these devices without ensuring that they will remain where they're placed. If I'm perfectly still - and ignore what the music does to me - they're likely to stay in my ear, although even that's not guaranteed for long. If I move, they're out. A more intelligent design would be welcome. I can't imaging paying for the new bluetooth ear pods if they're anything like these.

    Powerful, Immersive Sound

Delivers the deep bass and impressive range of acoustics typical of ear-muffs, despite its low-profile and unassuming weight. Easy-access side buttons add convenient functionality. Premium headphones at an affordable price is tough to top.

    Uncomfortable and Slippery

These are the most uncomfortable ear buds I've put in my ears, ever! They were actually kind of painful like something was poking the inside of my ear. They also don't stay in my ears very well when working out. As soon as I start to sweat, out they come. Seriously, I like the older style ear pods with the foam covers. Those stayed in my ears. Since then, I've purchased other brands with silicone inserts. The softer silicone is much more comfortable and they stay in.
