Don't buy if you have small ears

I have small ears and I can't wear these for more than five minutes without pain and if I wear them too long my ears continue to ache for a while afterwards.

    Sounds great-when they stay in

These headphones are awful. They are doubly disappointing, because they do sound great when they stay in. They will stay in when you are sitting absolutely still and don't move a muscle-but when I am sitting at home, I listen on my good $400 Sennheisers, or on the home stereo!

I tested these rigorously (walked my dog, moving my head occasionally to look for traffic, running across streets) and they failed spectacularly. During a 30 minute walk I probably had to reset these back in my ear 40 or 50 times, and by the end of that my ears were in pain. Running or exercising? Fugetaboutit! They WILL NOT stay set in your ears. Period. Apple needs to review this one size fits all design (because it does not).

These are terrible. If I could rate them -10, I would.

And finally, Apple, will you make some black accessories? This white THX-1138 looking stuff gets dirty gray in no time and is impossible to keep clean.

    Utterly useless

Since they don't fit my ear, unlike the older soft ones which I lost, they are a waste of money. Might as well use the ones which came with the iphone, since those also don't fit.
A big step back for Apple.

The right earbud goes super quiet after a short period of time. I am already on my third pair and they are already going bad. They do not last for normal use.

    Left side does NOT work!!!

Just bought my new pair last week, and finally opened them today and the left side doesn't even work!!! I'm so upset, the nearest Apple sore is almost an hour away from me! :(

    Broken with-in two months

I got the Earpods for myself and the volume control button was causing music to crackle and after that the wires in the right ear broke so the ear piece fell off. There is no way for me to send a report because there is no serial number on the product. Word of advice keep all of the packaging of the product because you might need to return it.

The new ear pods that came with iphone5 do not fit. The design does not allow the ear pods to stay in my ears. So, once again I need to purchase additional earphones.

These earpods do not last long. Although they sound o.k. and are comfortable in my ears, i have already had two pairs die. The first pair stopped working in the right ear and the second pair snapped while i was placing them in the protective case (Sense the irony?)
I DO NOT recommend purchasing these, but they are o.k. if they are included with your device.

    Earpods Pop Out

These earpods are TERRIBLE. They don't stay in your ears at all. It doesn't matter how you put them in they pop out. They don't stay in when you are sitting still but are even worse when moving around. I put earmuffs and a hat over them and they still came out. There is no point in having these if they don't stay in. They aren't one bit comfortable. Don't waste your money on these earpods. They are expensive for something that doesn't work. I wouldn't have given them one star but they wouldn't let me submit the review without one.

Why can't Apple just give up trying to make its own style of ear buds and make high quality buds like most manufacturers (with the soft, replaceable ear piece) that actually fit in and stay in your ears? This latest effort is a total waste. Don't try to exercise with them; they will pop out or loosen and lose quality sound.

    Waste of money

I got these with my new IPhone 5 and was having high expectation from them as Apple claimed they have spend years designing them.

Well they are definitely not one fit for all and keep falling out. I must say the quality of apple products after Steve Jobs, not the same anymore.

    I wouldn't know...

Maybe these are revolutionary earpods but I wouldn't know because they don't fit in my ears. I was so disappointed the first time I tried using these. I've tried a few times since but they are constantly falling out of my ears. It's more of a hassle than anything else. Bummed that I have to go find new headphones when what comes with the iPhone should be good enough and user ready.

    VERY cheap build quality

I've owned now 2 of these since november and in the course of 3 months they've both broken in the exact same way, the metal connector that plugs into your device is EXTREMELY WEAK and broke in half when the cable got tugged. Obviously I've seen headphone wires fray and plastic parts get bent/cent, but never the metal connector breaking in halve! TWICE!!!!!!

And the second time the connector got stuck inside my macbooks headphone port so now I can't use any audio whatsoever. Hopefully the "geniuses" will be able to fix it. But I'm not happy at all. Apple's quality is plummeting like it's stock prices

    I would only give 1

I had no earphones so I decided to buy the new earpods.

The sound quality is increadible and very good but they hurt your ear soooo much.

I would not recomend it as you cant wear them more then 5 mins continuously.
My ear is so swollen from the arphones that i cant touch them.

Dont buy them until they fix them.

I love apple and have every product but hate these.
Spent 30 euro and have gone to buy the old ones after a week but can only wear them in a week time cus my ears hurt

Great sound, but hurt just like the last version

I really wanted to love these, but I just don't. The old version really hurt my ears, within 5 minutes of wearing them. Had high hopes for these, considering the redesign. I mean, it's Apple so I assumed that extensive research went into the redesign. No such luck. Same with these, except I get a good 15 minutes before the pain sets in. You're APPLE. You can do better than this. Try again.

They sound awesome, so you get 1 star for that.

I LOVE you Apple but I HATE these earpods!

I am a diehard apple fan (MacBook, IPad, iPhone, and I talked all my family into getting them as well, and we all love them.) but I cannot stand these headphones.

I was super excited to try these earpods after everything I heard about them on TV and in the reviews. When I bought my mom the new iPhone 5 for her birthday, I asked her to trade headphones with me, as the new ones are supposed to be amazing. I tried them the next day and they hurt my ears so bad. I didn't want to give up right away so I tried fitting them in different ways and nothing worked. Needless to say I traded them back to my mom, and ended up buying her a new pair of headphones eventually.

I loved the old earbuds! So much so I wore out the speaker in one of the pairs I had.

The ability to be able to pause by pressing the mic is essential to me, as I work as a receptionist, and need to be able to pause my music immediately. And using them to talk while driving was amazing. The capabilities are more than amazing, so I really don't want to buy headphones from anywhere else. However the earpods, were excruciatingly uncomfortable, my ears were red, and aching within 5 min. of wearing them.

I really want the old ones back. They were perfect. Anyone know where I can buy another pair? I'd like to stock up for the future.

Anyway, I'm getting a new iPhone 5 this month, and I will actually be throwing these headphones away, they are that terrible. And I am not the type of person to pass up free stuff. LOL

Whoever says these "earpods" are great is either not so bright or intoxicated....these are completely worthless!!! I got them for free with my iPhone 5 and I still wouldn't keep them....

After 10 minutes of trying to figure out how to actually put them in, the stvpid things wouldn't stay in my ears for more than 5 seconds, no matter how much I try to twist them or push them in. If these are supposed to fit anyone, then what's wrong with them???

Do yourselves a favor...go to Amazon and get some nice JBuds for $8 and don't waste your money on these.
