Great sound if you can bear the pain.

These earbuds came with my iPhone 7 plus. They have an incredibly rich sound. Very good bass, especially. However, after five minutes I feel like my ears are burning. SUCH an ill-fitting pair of earbuds! Surely I'm wearing them wrong or something. I've tried every positioning trick imaginable to no avail. After a few weeks of trying, I've come to the conclusion that I'm stuck with a pair of the BEST earbuds for sound but the worst for fit. Just impossible to use. Why????

    Don't waste your money

I can't tell you how many pairs of these I've had that have broken after a short time. Most recently I took a pair out of the box and the FIRST time I wore them they shorted out. Now every time I try to use them Siri activates, music fast forwards or skips to another song. Will never buy these again.

Almost Awesome, but Great for $30!

Before I get into my experience with this product, I would like to take exception with many of the other reviews on here. There are numerous bad reviews on here complaining of the fit. That's totally fair and a legitimate complaint, but this was never released as "one size fits all", it was billed as "one size fits most". People are all different, and there is no way for a company to make a "one size fits all" product, especially in this form factor. With that said, many of the reviews say things like "they don't stay in your ears", "they always fall out of your ears" etc. Well no, that is poorly written. Sorry for those who have had a less than satisfactory experience, but you should be saying "They don't stay in MY ears", you can't speak for anyone else.
Now, I must say that the EarPods fit wonderfully in MY ears and seem to stay quite well under most conditions. One thing that is a concern is not exclusive to these, is when exercising, get a decent sweat going and the weight of the cord can contribute to pulling them out. In time I'll get the AirPods and hopefully that issue will go away, but for now, it's really not that much of a problem, there are ways to work around this.
The remote is handy and functional, the microphone sounds good and, provided it doesn't get buried in clothing, has provided a great experience for everyone I have spoken with while using it. The sound of the EarPods themselves is more than satisfying, especially when you consider the price point. I have definitely heard and owned ear and headphones of all styles costing 3 and 4 times more that didn't deliver the quality of sound that was delivered by these. Sure, there are better to be had, but at the price? Good luck with that! That's my opinion, everyone hears things differently, so these may not work for you.
The weak point from my observation is the plug. I'm a phone in the pants pocket, plug in, walking, running, sitting, standing...I've killed a bunch of plugs on a bunch of different phones that way. As annoying as that is, I usually get $30 worth of use out of a pair before I have to replace them. I wish they would find a way to reinforce that, but that probably won't happen since the AirPods are now available.
So to summarize, these work great for ME, though they may not work so well for YOU. Definitely hard to beat for sound quality at the price point. My only complaint is the plug, but the days for that are numbered anyway, my next phone will surely not have one. I am a fan!

Washed, dried & working (even better)

I do not recommend treating your EarPods like this and expecting them to work, but... The back story: I wear them when doing regular tasks and one bud fell into the dishwater about a month or two ago. I dried it in rice and all was well. More recently, one bud stopped working. I have a newer set and use these as a spare. This week I could not find them until...I emptied the dryer. This set went through the washer and dryer and now work better! Both earpieces sound great. I love Apple.

Really good quality, wish it would last longer

In the many years that my family has had iPhones, we've always used these earpods. I think they are absolutely amazing. The sound quality is impeccable and I can hear everything crystal clear. The only complaint I have about them is that they aren't very durable. Again, in the many years we've been using these earpods, I've gone through many pairs. I think the problem is with the wire. I've had problems like, the mic doesn't work anymore, or the sound is only in one ear unless I position the cord in a certain way. Honestly, I don't know if it's me or the earpods. Apple, please, make these earpods more durable. I think they're great and it would be the best i've ever used, honestly, if they lasted longer. It might just be me though... It happens with other earbuds occasionally...

    Apple Earbuds

Apple earbuds are not constructed very well. They never stay in your ear when you are using them. They constantly fall out and they don't fit snugly into your ear. You can forget trying to work out using these earbuds to listen to music because they easily fallout the moment you start to exercise.

    Beyond frustrating

To be honest- I really like the fit & sound of these earbuds... And that's why I get so very frustrated every single time they break. And they will break. They ALWAYS break. My last pair has lasted me all of 3 months. It really sad man. I've been a dedicated Apple user for a long time, but lately it feels like Apple has been taking advantage of my loyalty. And that's REALLY sad.

    Apple EarPods

The apple earpods give a quality listening experience. They fit well, nice audio output, and have a inline remote for controlling music.

The earpods have actual pods that fit inside your ear. They come in a one size fits most so if you can’t fit them there's nothing you can do about it which is a downside. They have a microphone on the inline remote for making calls and recording audio. They last a good amount of time a few years if you take care of them. The sound detail and bass is better than Skullcandy earbuds. If you are exercising I would not get these they will fall out of your ear unless you wrap them around it. Having no silicone eartips to squeeze in your ear makes them feel a lot better when wearing. I would recommend these to anyone just chilling and not doing many movements like running for example or working in a loud environment they do not block out sound very well.

I would rate these a 34 out of 40 they are an overall very useful and comfortable headphone.

    Pre Good

I use Beats Ear buds, and they sound literal trash compared to Apple Earbuds. I don't even know why, but Apple Ear Buds sound so good, the Highs and Lows both stood out so well, and the bass feels so great. I guess people don't really like apple earbuds because of comfy they are and how they break so easily. But if Apple made stronger earbuds, like braided cable and silicone ear plugs, that would be amazing, because all the headphones I use barely sound as good as these ones do.

    Earpods

I've had 3 different earpods. One for a work phone, one for a personal phone and one given me by a friend. They have all conked out. First there is a little static when the base of the earpod near the phone is touched. Then it starts to stop and start music, podcasts and audiobooks causing you to have to push the button to start them again. Finally, it starts to hang up on phone calls and skip forward/stop music, podcasts and audiobooks. 3 earpods Apple...3 earpods (you guys should be ashamed of yourselves). The best way to prolong this inevitability is to put them back in the clear plastic case whenever you are not using them. Granted, this will only fend off (as effectively as a long stem hammer in the center of a zombie horde) the eventual malfunction of the earpods. I'm not going to pay $30 for a new pair. I may just have to look for some knockoffs...smh

    Junk

These are the worst. They just fall out of my ears and are very painful. Honestly, how do these stay in? Horrible garbage!

    The best $30 headphones available

Me personally, I hate in ear earphones, especially the ones that look like a tube, they never stay in my ear and are extremely uncomfortable, but with these Apple EarPods I can easily listen to music for long periods of time without any discomfort as well as easy fit inside my ear. Not only are they a perfect fit but the sound is very high quality and doesn't disappoint whatsoever. Highs and lows are perfect and everything in between is nice, and when it comes to directional listening I can say that it is very clear also.

    No good

These earphones are incredibly uncomfortable. They are one size so do not fit all ears and make your ears hurt very quickly due to them being solid, with no silicone grips. The connection gets very static sounding if the plug gets moved while in use.

    It doesn't last long

I just got my phone recently and the earphones stopped working for no reason I don't want to waste $29.00 dollars for something that doesn't last a long time.

I wish there were more stars for rating

I don't find a way to edit my previous review so here goes my edit. I opened the box my iPhone 7 came in to discover lightning cable ear pods. In my previous review I stated it would be nice for Apple to include these along with the adapter. Obviously I pulled the adapter out of the box for the drive home from the ATT store, and didn't look in the box for new pods. I'm 100% happy now. Not only do these ear pods fit fantastically in my little ears, they sound better than any other head phones I have ever owned, and I don't need to fool around with an adapter anymore. Thanks APPLE! Now, where are those air pods you keep talking about? Bring 'em on! I'm ready for the next step in listening to my iPod touch and iPhone 7. Hoping my Touch will work with them. No reason to think they won't.
