    Functional, but makes screen dirty.

It does a good job of protecting debris from getting into keyboard. Its clear, so the backlighting comes through as normal. It quiets the keys down, which is a plus. Unfortunately it leaves prints on the screen. I have cleaned it daily and have made sure that it sits flat on the keyboard. I still find myself wiping my screen every time I open my laptop. I would not recommend. There are cheaper ones available that work better.

    Horrible, save your money.

This was by far the worst buy ever! The cover gets in the way of fast typing and doesn't stay in place. It constantly moves and makes the keyboard buttons feel a lot heavier and harder to push down. It doesn't stop wiggling out of place.

    Not bad

Was very skeptical of buying this after reading some reviews. Yes, it doesn't stick or grip the keys properly, and when you type, it moves. But in general, it does protect the keyboard very well and stops a heap of dirt going under my keys. It gets misty or cloudy VERY fast (but maybe I just have oily fingers), but that is easily solved - I put mine on a large flat plate, poured warm water on it, and dishwashing liquid, then wiped both sides with a soft cloth = almost good as new! Doesn't restrict typing and reduces that irritating clacking noise when typing so I feel less like a pompous idiot. Would buy again and I recommend unless someone finds one that sticks!

    Best keyboard cover ever

I bought this keyboard cover in 2011 and today, 5 years later it wore off on the edges of some buttons. But boy did it last long and I'm really satisfied for that. All the other cheap things out there last for weeks, but this one lasted 5 years. 5 years of constant activity on this computer. That's excellent, really good quality. Recommend it highly.

    Poor fit for your keyboard!

The cover is very thin but fits very poorly. There's a good amount of space between the keys and keyboard cover that makes typing feel a bit awkward. It also results in cover shifting around a bit when you type.

My verdict: go for the cheaper silicone covers. They fit better and are more comfortable to type on.

    Cloudy, Clunky

Purchased for my 15" MacBook Pro Retina. It's a good fit for the keyboard, but that's where the good news ends. After a couple months of light use, the protector has gotten cloudy and I can't get it clean. I haven't gotten used to the feel of the keys with the protector on -- they are noticeably less responsive. I'm also seeing imprints from the cover on my screen. I had a cheap keyboard protector for my old 13" MacBook and it felt great, and lasted 8 years without any discoloration. Think I'll try to track down that manufacturer again and be done with Moshi.

    STAINED

I really liked this cover for the first month, it was clear and clean and didn't make my keyboard look dirty. But it very soon started getting severely stained although I keep my devices very clean.
The stain didn't come off by microfiber cloth, dishwasher, warm water... NOTHING can get it clean again! This is a production defect.
Your keyboard will look much worse with the moshi cover than if you don't put this cover on it.

    Keyboard Protector Detail

The keyboard protector sticks very well to the macbook keyboard to protect it from dust and spills, but it has a small detail which could cause some liquid to enter the keyboard: the keyboard protector edge rises slightly and could enter some liquid from there. Thats the reason I give it 4 stars.

    Thank you

    excellent!

Just bought this for my MacBook Pro, and after about 5 days of typing with it on I don't even realize it's there anymore. Super easy to clean to. Highly recommend!

    It's Okay....But Could Be Better.

The item does it's job....sorta. it covers the keys of my 13" macbook pro with retina display, but the places for each key are not deep enough to ensure that the cover doesn't move when you type. in fact, it moves a decent amount, you could make a better investment in in a keyboard protector that is deeper and holds itself in place without moving. I'm not disappointed in this product per say, but I think I will be getting a new keyboard protector soon, one that doesn't move when you type and its better placed down on the keys.

Doesn't feel as good as it looks.

When I bought this cover, it was the first time I had ever used one of these. I expected it to feel awkward at first, but after several weeks I still couldn't get used to it. The cover basically cancels out the springy response you get from you keys leaving you feeling like you're pushing on flat rubber buttons. I switched the a cover made by KB covers and I highly recommend it.

    Best keyboard protector. Period.

I'm a keyboard protector person and I've tried 5+ brands, none of which were this expensive though. Now my company starts paying for these accessories, so I can finally get a Moshi. Basically, I won't be able to go back to the cheaper products in the future. THIS IS SO GOOD.

Doesn't fit perfectly (bigger) so it has room for slip and move

Previously, I used Marblue keyboard protector, which was a little thick and has its own color. It was a little too thick so it leaves some stains on the display, and needed a little more strength when typing, which quickly made my fingers tired.

Thus, I recently bought Moshi protector hoping that it is thin and doesn't mess up the display. I am satisfied on that perspective. I could also type with less strength.

However, it is definitely bigger than my Macbook Pro Retina, so it doesn't fit perfectly. It has a room so it slips and moves around when I type. It moves for 1 mm maximum, to all directions (left, right, up and down). It bothers me although it's only 1 mm. The previous Marblue one was a little sticky so it never moved. You should definitely consider this and compare with other products!

    Don't make this mistake

Maybe this applies only to german keyboards. But they are slightly different to the US. The "enter" key on the german keyboard is different so this protector will not fit perfectly.

Beside that, it is a good product. If it is worth the amount of money is another question.

    Excellent for it's purpose

I'm giving it five star because it serve it's purpose well, with that said there are a few things I can comment on what I notice after 2-3 weeks of owning. The keys will feel plastic/rubbery to it. Typing on it will feel less effortless as the button cover well not compress singularly as it's a whole piece especially as most people will not press the keys directly on the middle. Fit wise, it does fit perfectly. Color wise, it is clear, but has a hazy look to it and you can tell it has a cover over it. Through this whole time of owning it, I do not see it getting dirty like how most pictures and video I have seen. The explanation I can come up with is that either people have stuff on there finger when using it or people oil compositing is causing it. My moshi still looks pretty new. Also, I don't see my my screen getting dirty from the key guard (probable got to do with my guard not being dirty. Overall, it keeps my key new vs. before I can see my keys getting shiny from the oil from my fingers and I have to wipe it to get it not shiny. Great addition, but not perfect.

    Could be better...

First off, I like how the keyboard cover is very thin and how it feels. However, it does not fit the keys perfectly, as it is slightly too big. Also, the cover lifts a bit whenever I type.

    Does not fit the keys

I got the european version but it does not fit the top line of keys, which is just too large for the keys verticle dimension.
Otherwise it's great, I use it and it takes some getting use to but worth the trouble.
I just wish the cover fit all keys for the exact dimensions.

    Nice Feel! Love it!

I love this protector! It perfectly fits my keyboard! I don't have any problems with it moving or anything. Perfect fit! More importantly, I love the feel of typing the keyboard with this on. It feels soft typing with this, I think I got addicted to it and can't really stop typing! :D Absolutely love it! So glad I purchased this with my Apple Gift Card!
    Good job Mosh! :)

    Dirt, Crumbs, Spills OH MY!

This Moshi Clear Guard Keyboard Protector is perfect if you want to keep your MacBook looking new and clean! It's great at catching crumbs (we all eat and try to use our MacBooks) admit it! This prevents the keys from wearing down with heavy usage and also allows the same ease of typing as you would have without it. It is extremely thin and fits flush with every key. Of course because this is not 100% precise and exact, there is just a slight wiggle, but it is hardly noticeable! As for the price: I'll say what I say on most protective accessories. The reason you buy something like this and pay the price advertised is because you are interested in protecting your investment. Being part of the Apple community means paying a premium for the products they produce. With that said, I think paying a couple bucks to protect your investment and keep it new is just common sense! Hope this helps! Highly recommend this product!
