| AirPort Extreme FW Update 5.4 |
|
About AirPort Extreme Firmware Update New AirPort Extreme features: -Improved antenna output control. -Enhanced logging from your base station which is compatible with syslog. -Performance improvements for WPA security implementations. Note: WPA requires an AirPort Extreme base station and AirPort Extreme or AirPort clients running Mac OS X v10.3, or later. Use of Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) reduces the maximum number of network users. Computers with wireless cards that only support WEP cannot join an AirPort network that has WPA enabled. Note: This firmware can by Uploaded by AirPort Admin Utility 3.1.1 on a Mac OS X 10.2.8 (Jaguar) system. Jaguar users will not gain the new features such as WPA or base station logging, but may find the base station to be more reliable. Instructions on how to Upload the 5.4 firmware version from Jaguar version of AAU 3.3.1 can be found in the #3 section of AirPort Extreme: How to Update a Base Station's Firmware at AirPort Extreme: How to Update a Base Station's Firmware AirPort AirPort Extreme FW Update (Windows) Learn More about this download... |
