Add movement to your slideshowWith iPhoto you can bring your images to life using the Ken Burns effect, an effect that gives motion to your still images. You can set this up to work automatically on all of your images by clicking the check box next to the Automatic Ken Burns Effect in the settings. If you would like to have greater control over the Ken Burns effect, select the image in the shelf, click the Ken Burns Effect check box on the main window, and set the start and end locations of the scan and pan, using the scale slider and positioning your image. Use the keyboard to control your slideshowWhile your slideshow is running you can use the keyboard to control the slideshow. The spacebar is used to start and stop the slideshow, the right arrow key is used to advance to the next image, and the left arrow will go back to the previous image. Organize slideshows in foldersFolders can help you organize your slideshows and images. First, create a folder in the iPhoto source list by going to File, then New Folder. Then create a slideshow from an Album, and move both the Album and slideshow into the folder you created. You will now have the photos and slideshow together. Making a QuickTime movie from your slideshow and copy to a CDYou have just created a slideshow of your recent vacation, and you would like to share it with others. You can do this by creating a QuickTime movie of your slideshow. In iPhoto, select the album or slideshow you want to make a QuickTime movie of, then choose Export from the Share menu. When the export window is open, select the QuickTime tab, and export your movie. When you are done exporting your movie, you can copy it to a CD. Insert a CD-RW or blank CD-R disk into your computer, make sure you choose Open Finder from the Action pop-up menu, type a name for the CD, and then click OK. A CD icon will appear on your desktop. Locate the movie file on your computer, and then drag it to the CD icon. Drag the CD icon to the Trash to copy the movie to the CD. Drag a slideshow to iDVDAdding an iPhoto Slideshow to iDVD is as easy as dragging the slideshow or album directly to the iDVD window. When you drag the slideshow, all the images are copied to iDVD and a menu item is created with the name of the slideshow. Although your iPhoto Slideshow settings are not copied to iDVD, you can set up the transition, music and slide duration in iDVD. Change the order of photos in your slideshowYou can easily change the order in which your photos are displayed during a slideshow. While in the slideshow window, you can drag the photos around in the iPhoto shelf to create the order that you would like the slides to play. Playing slideshows without musicIf you would like to play your slideshow without music, you can easily do this in the music settings. While in the Slideshow view, click the Music button and un-check the “Play music during slideshow” checkbox. Now when you watch your slideshow, it will be without music.
