Will you verify my address?
To protect you from fraudulent purchases, Apple will confirm that your account information matches what is on file with the bank that issued your card. Make certain you entered your address correctly on your order. If you are not shipping your Apple Store purchase to your billing address, you will need to contact your the card issuing bank to add an additional authorized shipping address. How do I contact the card-issuing bank? There should be an 800 number listed on the back of your card. Or, check the monthly statement that is mailed to you for customer service contact information. Where can I find my security code? The Apple Store requires your credit card's security code for all purchases. The security code is a three- or four-digit number printed on your card in addition to the account number. Can I change the credit card on a submitted order? Updating the credit card number in your Apple ID account will change the credit card used for all future orders, but will not affect orders submitted before the change. |

When will my credit card be charged?
Apple requests account validation from the credit card company when an order is placed. Funds are reserved in the account prior to shipment. Your account is charged a few days before the order is shipped. What is my daily spending limit? Some banks set limits on how much money can be taken out of an account on a single day or with a single transaction. Most debit and check cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of an order even if there is enough money in an account. Please consult your card-issuing institution for information about your daily spending limits. Can I use a card issued outside the U.S. or Canada? When an order is placed using a credit card as payment, the Apple Store will perform an automated check to confirm that the address information matches what is on file with the card-issuing bank. It is less likely that an automated response will be received from an international bank than from a U.S. bank. If a response is received and indicates that some of the information does not match, we must contact the bank for verification. If the card-issuing bank is outside the U.S., the secondary verification is not possible, and we cannot proceed with the order. For this reason, Apple strongly recommends that you use only credit cards issued within the U.S. or Canada. |
