A young man just released from the Navy, who seeks out the father he never knew (Hurt), only to find that he is now the evangelical pastor of a thriving church in a prosperous Texas community. With a beautiful wife (Harring), a seemingly innocent daughter and a son bound for bible college, the pastor wants nothing to do with the bastard son.
