Note for prospective purchasers ... make sure you install the Airport Utility App (Free) on your iPad (or iPhone or iPod) then the setup is incredibly easy.

The power cord is very slim lined and as a result maintains portability. Dual Band is a clear advantage, its simple to set up using the airport IOS app and clearly well thought out.

I had to rate it as five stars to compensate for the reviewer that decided it only warranted one star because it now has a separate power cable rather than just plugging it in to the wall. For me, the new format is a major improvement and should give me greater scope in positioning the unit to maximise the signal.

      Disappointed

Setup was easy to be fair. My ISP is 250mbps fibre connection. Using Macbook, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s (without express) speeds are a consistent 210mbps, 150 mbps Setup was easy to be fair. My ISP is 250mbps fibre connection. Using Macbook, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s (without express) speeds are a consistent 210mbps, 150 mbps and 90 mbps wireless. However, using the express wireless is poor. Tried trouble shooting but wireless speeds are 30-60mbps. I know express max speed is 100mbps, but i thought i'd get 80-90 at least (i don't need 250mbps). I did read on the support board that there appears to be a problem with iPhone 6. But if my ISP router can provide solid, fast wireless speeds, you'd think Apple could do this with their products. Doesn't explain why Macbook and iPhone 5s speeds are also slow.

Airport Express arrived today, read instructions on set up, (easier than making a cup of tea). Failed to connect, error message. Contacted Apple Support, took Airport Express arrived today, read instructions on set up, (easier than making a cup of tea). Failed to connect, error message. Contacted Apple Support, took nearly two hours to get Airport Express working. Contrary to popular reviews, Airport Express does not get rid of the blind Wifi spots. With Time Capsule connected to the Router, my Wifi signal is now much weaker than before. The blind Wifi spots still remain. I would not recommend this product to any friend of mine.
