Search
Find exactly what you want.
The iTunes Store brings you easier ways to find music, films, TV programmes and apps you already know you want. Take the search feature, for example. Just start typing in the search field. Results appear automatically and become more accurate as you type. Power Search gives you even more criteria to choose from. You can find music by title, artist or genre, and films by title, actor, director, producer, year and more.
Better ways to browse.
If you’re not sure what you want to hear, browse an artist’s page — every artist has one. Read bios, get entire discographies and browse related artists. Get Artist Alerts emails about new and upcoming releases from the artists whose work you love. Or click My Alerts in the Quick Links section of the iTunes Store to see your alerts all at once. You can also browse the hits in the iTunes Charts. Preview everything before you buy, and download anything with one click.
Discover
Recommendations from fellow fans.
iTunes makes it easy to find new music, films, TV programmes, games, apps and podcasts when you browse what listeners (and watchers and players) have also bought.
iTunes Essentials.
iTunes Essentials helps you discover new music, rediscover artists and albums and explore different genres. Delve into an artist’s discography: from their biggest hits to the hidden gems. And you can browse music by genres and history.
Celebrity Playlists.
See what your favourite celebrities are rocking out to with Celebrity Playlists, available from the More in Music section of the iTunes Store. You can read track-by-track commentary on why celebrities like who they like. And you just might like them too.
Recommendations from iTunes.
What you buy says a lot about what you like. That’s why iTunes gives you suggestions. Ping shows you what music your friends and favourite artists are buying, while Genius tells you which music, films and TV programmes you might like based on your previous purchases. Looking for new apps? Genius shows you recommendations for apps in the App Store on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. You’ll find new apps you might like based on the ones you already have. On your iPad, tap to get music, film and TV recommendations too. Once you find something you like, you can download and start enjoying it straightaway.
What’s hot, week by week.
Download the free Single of the Week and discover an artist who might become your next favourite. And every Tuesday, the iTunes Store debuts new and upcoming releases for you to buy or pre-order. Subscribe to iTunes Newsletters and receive the weekly New on iTunes email.
