In addition to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, iWork lets you open documents from many sources. Numbers opens CSV, tab-delimited, vCard and Open Financial Exchange files. Pages opens RTF and plain text documents. If you want to share your documents, spreadsheets and presentations with anyone on a Mac or PC, just save them using standard file formats. All iWork applications can export to PDF. Numbers can also export to CSV. Pages can save a file as plain text. And Keynote lets you save your presentation as a QuickTime movie, HTML file or image file. You can even send a Keynote presentation directly to YouTube.

Share work quickly in iWork using the Share menu in each application. Just click Share to email your documents in iWork, Microsoft Office or PDF formats using Mac OS X Mail.

Turn your documents into ebooks.

Now you can view your Pages documents on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch using iBooks. Export documents with lots of text (like reports and books) to ePub format. Then sync your ePub document to iBooks via iTunes, self-publish it on the iBookstore, or share it with friends and colleagues in an email. If your document has a more advanced layout, export it as a PDF file. That way, whether you view it on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, it always looks exactly like the original.

Share your work on the web.

When you need to share your documents, spreadsheets, or presentations but aren’t sure whether your colleagues use a Mac or a PC, iWork or Microsoft Office, publish them to iWork.com public beta.1 Reviewers will receive an email with a unique iWork.com URL that they can use to view your files and post comments. They can also download a version in iWork, Microsoft Office, or PDF format. Want to share your iWork documents publicly? Generate a link for sharing on social networking sites like Facebook. Or embed your slideshow in a personal web page or blog. Viewers using the latest version of Safari on a Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can now play your slideshow complete with stunning animations and effects.2
