New Gear
If Mac mini is your first computer, you’ll need to buy a display, keyboard and mouse to operate it. You can connect any display with DVI or VGA connectors. Apple displays feature a pure digital DVI signal for the highest quality output. For input, you’ll be able to connect any keyboard or mouse that uses industry-standard USB connectors. Also, Mac mini features built-in Bluetooth wireless, which means you can use many wireless keyboards and mice, as well.
Use What You Have
You can use industry-standard displays, keyboards and mice that you already purchased for other computers with Mac mini. You can even share them on the same desk with the use of a KVM switch. Put Mac mini on top of your current PC, plug your display, keyboard and mouse into the KVM, then simply flip the switch to use one or the other.
