Redesigned. Rechargeable. Remarkable.

  • Overview

Redesigned and rechargeable, Magic Trackpad 2 includes a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content. Magic Trackpad 2 also features an edge-to-edge glass surface area that is nearly 30 per cent larger than the previous trackpad. This design, along with a lower profile, makes scrolling and swiping through your favourite content more productive and comfortable than ever.

Magic Trackpad 2 pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work straight away. And the battery will power your Magic Trackpad 2 for about a month or more before needing a recharge.

Wonderful ease of movement around the screen, instant response to movement and gestures and a much easier right click. The main improvement is the design which has made the trackpad stable and as a consequence easier to use. Even my youngest child noticed how much better Magic Trackpad 2 is and has stopped wanting to use a mouse. One more thing the connectivity with a lightening cable is just a fantastic tool to start up.

      Disappointed

It worked well for a few days but I then found the cursor was left behind my finger movement and I constantly had to correct it. I've now reverted to the mouse. An expensive trial..

      Good quality upgrade

The charging function alone made this a substantial upgrade to the previous magic trackpad. But it is well built and looks good too.

The worst Apple product ever - I'd give it no stars if I could

Worse still the cursor will suddenly stick to a document or application for some weird reason. Then it'll go flying all over the place. The only way to stop it is to bang the trackpad down on the desk a few times and then switch it on and off. This happened all the time but yesterday when I was finishing a major project for a client. Nearly missed the deadline and lost the account. Truly appalling. Do not buy it.
