I've had this table for a few months now and the base seems very robust. The annoying thing is the designer seems to have overlooked the weight of a laptop in comparison to that of a mouse. The support leg is directly under the position where you would use a mouse (the powder coated finish makes this difficult without a mouse mat) and the laptop is perched at the end of a cantilever. The effect of this is that your laptop bounces up and down as you type. Not smart!

In response to Karl S - surely if use your mouse/trackpad with your right hand then you would simply turn the table round so that the leg is on your left? then the macbook will be over the leg and be more supported?
Please note I have not got one so cannot test this out, I was just thinking of getting one, maybe.

It is steady to carry a Macbook, and please follow the user instruction for proper setup and safety precaution.
