    Somewhat.

Apple doesnt integrate GPS on the Wi-Fi only models, but you can still locate yourself and use Location Services only if you are connected through Wi-Fi. The cellular + Wi-Fi models are more precise on GPS as they use cellular signals to pinpoint accuracy of your location.

If you meant GPS as in Car GPS, it will be tough to drive with a Wi-Fi only model as it will keep asking you to join networks every time your out of range. Otherwise, the Cellular+ WiFi can support connection almost wherever you go.

Actually, this is untrue - many GPS apps on the App Store have built in maps, and an Internet connection is only necessary for real-time updates (traffic, weather, location sharing with friends etc). I have used Navigon, with data roaming switched off, extensively throughout Europe (where data roaming is prohibitively expensive for someone from the UK), and never once got a prompt to join a wifi network.

Furthermore, if you want to use your WiFi-only device as an in-car GPS, then you can buy an external GPS device, such as the Garmin Glo, and you will have no problems (except for the aforementioned lack of real-time data).
