Which MacBook Pro should I buy?
Hi! I am planning to buy a new computer this summer, a MacBook Pro actually. However, I am stuck in deciding whether i should buy the 15" MacBook Pro or the 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display. I wanted to buy the one with Retina display because of the higher resolution, being 2880x1800. Also, it has a flash storage rather than a hard drive, so there are no moving parts, meaning no sound. They both exhibit a quad-core processor. But the MacBook Pro with Retina display is 25% thinner than the 15" MacBook Pro. However, the MacBook Pro with Retina display 2 thunderbolt ports, 2 USB 3 ports, Headphone jack, an HDMI port, a MagSafe 2 connection, and an SDXC card slot. This MacBook does not have a SuperDrive to play/run CD's or DVD's or any disks. The 15" MacBook Pro DOES have a SuperDrive, along with a Gigabit Ethernet port, FireWire and thunderbolt port. (I use Wi-Fi, so not to significant) The MacBook Pro with retina display would cost me about $2,117, and the 15" MacBook Pro would cost me around $1,800, both of which i can afford, so $$ will not be a problem. I just want to make sure i pick the right computer. Which has more tech specs?
