Absolutely wonderful, great quality and no degrading of that quality. My experiences with these EarPods are excellent and no cheap ripoffs come anywhere close. Alas mine finally broke through my own carelessness and the jack bent. They still work (amazingly) but with a broken jack I don't want to risk plugging them in. I might have to forego a replacement due to budget though. It's a shame.

    Hard to clean :(

These earbuds have a ton of bass, good audio clarity, and they fit nicely! The only problem occurs when they don't have any removable eartips. Mine broke because they got too dirty, but it's okay because they're affordable, so I bought a new pair :)

Great fit! Not so great sound quality...

The title says it all really: the fit is great so far more comfortable than earphones with round earbuds, but the sound quality isn't that impressive. The built in mic and play/pause/volume buttons are useful though. Would recommend if you're looking for a pair of earphones on a budget.

Amazing Sound But Has A Poor Life Span

I've loved the EarPods ever since it was released two years ago. It's not too expensive compared to other brands available in the market and it has simply sublime audio quality unlike the previous earphones. I was pleasantly surprised that the sounds it produced were incredibly much better than some German brands or even the Dr. Dre Beats earphones. My only pickle with it is that is not very durable and I've had to replace it several times already when the wires start to wear and become exposed which seems to be a prevalent problem with all the cables and wires produced by Apple.

    Great Earphones, but noisy.

A few years ago i owned a horrible pair of the old Apple earphones, bad sound quality and felt uncomfortable in the ear. However, I borrowed a pair of these EarPods from a friend, and soon sought out to buy one for myself from the Apple Store. The earphones have a perfect base and great sound and are really comfortable, they fit perfectly in my ear. There is one issue though, the earphones are noisy and other people can hear them slightly. This is bad when you are taking them out and about. The remote is great, and bigger than on the old ones. The controls are handy on the tube and when running. Overall, a great pair of earphones and reasonable price. Recommended!

Good quality but not as durable as I'd like

As most of the earbuds on the market are those weird ones which stick right in your ear canal, I love the shape of these and find them really comfortable. I'm no music fanatic either but the sound quality is definitely good enough. The remote is also super helpful and I can't live without one anymore.

My only issue is the durability. For a £25 pair of earphones I'd quite like a minimum of 6 months use. Mine are pretty much dead now after 5 months - I can get music to play if I wiggle the wire a bit but the remote is dead. I think if I'd been a bit more careful they could have lasted longer but still, I expect a bit more.

    Amazing headphones

These headphones are really good for listening to music regularly and have amazing sound quality however, they do not stand up to abuse very well. i recently fell asleep with them on and now the music flips from ear to ear. Still they lasted a whole year being just fine, just don't sleep with them on.

i loved my earpods. They would go wherever i went. but then, on a warm summers evening, the jack decided to self implode. first the actual metal bit fell out of the cable section, and then when i tried to pull them out my phone with tweezers, the bottom section decided to split from the rest of the jack. By this point i was terrified, thinking my phone would have to go to the shop to get out. I am a very heavy user, but 5 months is not good enough for apple :( hopefully they are covered by my warranty.

Summary: Buy them, but get a warranty

    What I would have expected

The sound quality is very good and the volume control setting is very useful. But unfortunately they do not fit in your ears very well and occasionally fall out hence the 4 star. For the money they are good value but don't expect anything brilliant from them.

    Generally not bad.

I bought these a few months ago for occasional use (I use my Bose when at home). The sound quality is perfectly good for everyday listening (arguably on par with my Bose) and they stay in my ears, not bad as my ears are a funny shape and I usually use over ears headphones. They do ache after a bit but most in ears do.

I think £15 would be a more realistic price though as they are given away with other devices.

    Would never go back

I find these headphone are better quality than all the previous. They're really comfortable and they sit in place with no snare or bud popping them back out.

    Great Design Great Quality.

The only concern I've found is that they're £25 which is a large sum compared to what i used to purchase.

    Great earphones

I have to say when I got these Earpods I was impressed by the sound quality, they're almost as good as my Shure SE-215's, they're just a tiny bit muffled in comparison. I almost prefer the Apple Earpods as there is more warmth to the sound of the audio especially in music compared with the SE-215's.

    Nice Surprise!

I was very uncertain weather or not to purchase these as i have bought 4 pairs of the previous generation earphones with all of them ending up breaking and no music playing in one of the in-ear plug. So i decided that this would be the final straw, I have to say i was quite impressed with how much the quality of the design has improved, the quality of the sound is alot more clear and crisp, doesn't distort as much when the volume is increased and it feels sooo much more comfortable in your ears, I dont get that ear ache after removing them from being in my ear for several hours. The insulation of them are not much improved even though the sounds going more direct into your ear canal. One major con i feel is that they still have not addressed the wire tangling issue, how hard is it to put a thick tangle free wire on your headphones, It would save so much time! Overall i am impressed but only choosing to give it 4 stars as the real test for me is durability as previous generations where lucky if you got a year out them, So far so good though!

Am I the only one who finds these fuzzy?

I was offered to try these in store which I accepted, as I was concerned the hard plastic would be uncomfortable, and also wanted to test the sound quality. Turns out they are very comfortable, and they sounded great for the short time I tried them. I have owned them for almost a week, and after trying out various genres of music on them, the depth of sound is great, but have found them quite fuzzy. If it wasn't for the occasional fuzz, I would have given these five stars. It almost sounds like someone blowing on a microphone, especially with dance music. Having said that, the quality of sound is better overall when compared to older apple earphones. I will be taking these back to the store, as they could be a faulty pair.

    worth it's apple in weight

no need spending 100s' on earphones. I was in Amsterdam airport and needed a replacement pair so thought I'd try the new earpods...
Was totally amazed with the low deep fill of the bass. worth it's apple in weight,
by far a bargain for the price. Why spend so much on one pair when you can buy 4 earpods of which will definitely last you 4 times as long.
A matt finish or some rubber grip would have made these a perfect 10/10 as they do slip around now and then.

Have to be the best earphones i have ever owned! Brillinat sound quality with excellent bass (Some songs sound so different with these, its like rediscovering some songs all over again)
One slight down point is: they can sometimes slip out of the ear as they are a gloss finish, maybe a matt or rubber finish would have been better..... but this is not enough of a problem for me to worry about!

For get Dr Dre. Buy Apple!

    Very Good!!!!!

Very good earphones. Good remote n mic and can just hook in ears, don't really get earwax on them. Love them and case is nice too (that is once I googled how to put them back in again)

I bought Apple EarPods as my earphones were water damaged after a lot of use in the rain (obviously rain and earphones,in most situations obviously aren't friends) and they died eventually after various soakings.

The Apple EarPods, the earphones I bought as a replacement to my old earphones are amazing, the quality is decent and design is good too

You really can't do much better at this price...

...and to be honest, I've heard far more expensive pairs of buds, and full over/on ear 'phones that are nothing better. For anyone, like me coming from the previous generation Apple 'phones, rest assured. These are a vast improvement, nice deep bass, clear, crisp, plenty of punch. My personal bug is wooly and damp sounding drums, and after trying these out with both New Order and Led Zep (for the digital and real thing), they perform brilliantly.

No problems with the fit, in fact they seem to be a bit more snug and shaped for comfort over the older ones, so I must have normal ears!

Considering the price, the neat organising and storage case is a wonderful little bonus. So dinky and pocketable, and no more tangles. Took all of a minute to work out how to wind, and now I can do it without even looking in seconds.

Was thinking these would tide me over 'till I treated myself to a £170 pair of Phillips on-ear Fidelios. May wait a bit longer now...

Can't really go wrong for the price!

Obviously a lot of thought and effort has gone into the design of these earphones, and it has paid off.

The treble is crisp and clear, the bass is controlled and even at high volume does not distort. My only criticism is that the bass is not quite as deep as I would personally like, and not as deep as you would get with noise isolating in ear headphones. To this end, the mid frequencies do tend to dominate a little, but I'm sure if you are willing to spend 5 minutes in the music EQ section in the settings, you can find a good balance that is to all tastes.

All in all, a great set of earphones for the price tag, that work well, sit comfortably in the ear and sound good. Plus, if you lose them, you may not cry as much as you would over a much higher priced pair!
