Beats Studio Wireless Over-Ear Headphones - Matte Black

  • Overview

    The music moves with you

With the Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Wireless over-ear headphones the music on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod can truly roam free. The Bluetooth stays connected up to 30 feet away so you easily move about and keep the music going. Take calls, skip songs, and change the volume right from the headphone.

    Feel your music

The Beats Acoustic Engine gives you an intimate, real encounter with your music. Thanks to Beats' signature DSP software delivers the exact emotional experience that Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine, and some of the music industry's greatest rock, hip-hop, pop, electronic, and R&B producers want you to feel.

    Put the world on mute

Silence the noise from your daily commute or the drama from your loud neighbors with Beats' no-compromise dual-mode Adaptive Noise Canceling (ANC). When you're listening to music, ANC automatically strikes a balance between your audio and the world outside. And if you want to use the headphone just to cancel external noise, ANC-only mode automatically increases the level of noise cancellation to make things even quieter.

    What batteries?

The built-in rechargeable battery that lasts 12 hours when using wirelessly and 20 hours when you do decide to plug in—so you can be sure your vibe keeps going. With the Battery Fuel Gauge you can see at a glance how much juice is available. Plus, you can charge the new Studio via standard micro USB adapter almost anywhere.

    Lighter, stronger, and more comfortable

When Beats re-imagined these legendary headphones, they designed it like a beautiful sports car and made disciplined choices. They streamlined the new Beats Studio with fast curves, smooth surfaces, and no visible screws. It now weighs less than the original and has a lighter, stronger, and more comfortable headband. The ear cups are softer and there's an ergonomic bellow to create a flexible, custom fit for every head shape, so you can keep your music all to yourself.

      Impressed!

Disclaimer: I'm not a fan boy, I tried (& quickly returned) the original Beats Studio & Beats Executive as they were both garbage from an audio perspective. Disclaimer: I'm not a fan boy, I tried (& quickly returned) the original Beats Studio & Beats Executive as they were both garbage from an audio perspective. Sorry so called audiophiles - I tried B&W P7 & Sennheiser Momentum Over Ears but for my predominantly Hip Hop, R&B & Reggae library the Beats are clearly the superior audio option. They're far from neutral sounding, the bass is heavy but it's controlled & doesn't distort at high volume. The highs are bright while the mid range is surprisingly clear. Add to that the wireless function & the 12 - 20 hour rechargeable battery & it was an easy win. Picked mine up in store in the UK although strangely they're still not on the Apple UK online store?

The best headphones I've listened to. That includes B&W and Klipsch

These headphones are fantastic. They have a much more balance sound over the previous generation Studio model, but still pack a punch in the right places. T These headphones are fantastic. They have a much more balance sound over the previous generation Studio model, but still pack a punch in the right places. The 30 foot bluetooth range is great, as I never experienced a dropped connection or static as I moved 15-25 feet away from my iPhone 5s. I love the black matte finish. It's stylish and fashionable at the same time, yet subtle enough to wear in a corporate environment, if desired. They have a slimmer profile, are lighter and sleeker than the previous generation; thus, you won't feel uncomfortable wearing these as your main everyday headphones. These have replaced my B&W and Klipsch headphones. I'm a fan! Great purchase.

DURRABILTY PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED APPLE!!!

I was impressed on how stylish it look on top of that the sound quality was great. I paticulary got these because I was tired of the chord getting tangled up on the weights and so forth. Well about a month into using them, nearly 5 times a week and about 2-4 hours at a time, a small crack on the side popes up. I had never dropped them nor hit a weight with them. The crack started to grow and grow.. kinda dissapointed me knowing I had paid $400 for a pair of head phones trusting apple that for paying THAT much the DURRABILTY would be a little bit better than that. So then after another couple months pass I noticed that the ear muff's material was coming undone. Exposing the foam. By now I was very upset. I couldn't believe I paid $400 freakin dollars for a pair of headphones that are falling apart right in front of me within 4 months I've had them. I continued to use them for another 6 months or so and both of the ear muff's material have come undone and the crack has grown all the way across the aide of the headphones exposing the wiring. They sit on my self now haven't used them in over 4 months.. APPLE PLEASE FIX THE DURRABILTY OF YOUR PRODUCTS. THEY ARE POORLY MADE. LISTEN TO ALL THESE REVIEWS YOUR CUSTORMERS ARE GIVING YOU.

      Bluetooth/Update Review -5

I used it one time on the airplane and lost connection during a movie so I put them away. Looked on line and was told to run the update on the Beats website MAJOR MISTAKE!!!!!! I did everything on I was told to do on the website and it kept saying update interrupted. I tried many times but it didnt work. I called Apple and was told let the battery drain give it a full charge and it should work. YEAH RIGHT!!!! The headphones have been returned to Target and I will never buy Beats again. $379 and your update locks up the headphones never to be used again! VERY DISAPPOINTED. WHATEVER YOU DO...DO NOT UPDATE YOUR HEADPHONES.

Try Bang & Olufsen H7's Instead

I wanted to love these headphones, especially since I've been an Apple fan for a long time, and I believe Apple owns Beats. I use them at work - I work in an of I wanted to love these headphones, especially since I've been an Apple fan for a long time, and I believe Apple owns Beats. I use them at work - I work in an office, and it's nice to have a quiet/musical place to escape from the office noise. But, unfortunately, they're just not that good. The "pod" case is an odd size for a typical laptop bag or satchel, the headphones "snap to fold" feels kinda cheap and weird, the button you have to push and hold to turn them on and off has a crummy feel, the sound of the headphones isn't bad, but lacks that precision that you can feel. The kicker for me, was that after 9 months, the ear cups came apart (they have a seam that came undone) exposing the foam. So, after a 5-day wait-for-us-to-send-them-out at the Apple Store, I had a replacement pair. This pair had a weird hissing sound that could only be removed with frequent resets, and then after 3 months, the ear cups came apart again. The Apple store gave me a third pair, but I couldn't bring myself to open the box... I was done: I returned them for a pair of Bang & Olufsen H7 headphones, which are a significant improvement, for not much more money.
