I was very happy with then but they only lasted for a month. All of the sudden they stopped working and I can't afford to spend 30$ every time they Stop working.

I love the sound quality of the headphones. They feel great in your ear and the sound quality is great. But they are EXTREMELY fragile. I've barely had mine for six months and already the right earphone has a crack in it, and the sound is a bit 'un-balanced' because of the right earphone. And my brother, who takes better care of his headphones than I do, accidentally put them in the laundry. Nothing to worry about, right? WRONG! Now both headphones have blue stains on it AND the right headphone is completely cracked and broken (still works better than my headphones, but the right headphone is EXTREMELY uncomfortable in your ear. So I just have to give it 3 stars. The sound quality is great, but they are extremely fragile.

    Good sound but

    • Written by from Newark

The sound on these "Earpods" are excellent, especially for the price. However, that is only when they actually stay in your ear. Any slight movement I find these moving around and not staying in proper position. They just don't feel secure, I constantly feel as if they are going to fall out, and they do. Great sound for the price, but they aren't comfortable. Spend a few more dollars and get a pair that you don't have to worry about readjusting all the time.

    Won't block ambient noise

    • Written by from VANCOUVER

These EarPods are OK if you are in a quiet environment, and if you are not moving much. I find that if I try running the Apple EarPods fall out because don't really fit tight into your ear - just hang in the pocket above your earlobe. For the same reason they don't block out ambient noise. The mic/iPhone control works well.

Good sound quality, bad in-ear placement.

    • Written by from Санкт-Петербург

Sound is really good, but they sit poorly in my ear - tend to fall off or shift down which leads to bass going away.
    Some grip needed.

    Average sound, average quality.

    • Written by from Bayonne

I got these "EarPods" when I ordered my iPhone 5. I started using them about 4 months later and what stood out the most to me was the comfort. I know that's been a big complaint by many but for me, they stayed in my ears without falling out and remained comfortable even after hours of use. However, just recently I've been experiencing issues with the microphone. Although I can hear sound from the other person on my line, they randomly stop hearing me. I know it isn't my cell service because I tried other headphones when these started giving out. I'm not sure why the microphone fails to pick up my voice now but I have noticed a bit of tearing at the microphone end of the wire.

All in all, the sound quailty is fair. If you get these with your Apple device use them. But if it they break, I would not recommend replacing them with another Apple pair. For the price, they are really nothing special. Put your $30 to something better.

    Great, but issues.

    • Written by from Silver spring

The earphones are great. Everything about it is good. It lasts a long time as well.

There are two problems I have with these earphones.
1-The earphones irritate your ears sometimes.
2-Sometimes, the earphones will send a shock into your ear and leave a stinging pain.

To be honest, I took off two stars because of those two issues since that is major to me. The pain is easy to adjust to. However, the shocks to the ear are unbearable to the point that I'm scared to put them back on my ears.

Great Sound, but right earpod went out.

    • Written by from San Antonio

I've had these earpods for a few months now. They sound great! In fact I ditched the big bulky Beats for these bad boys. Great for running, exercising, etc. However, the right side did go out on me, which was a disappointment. I was hoping to have these forever, now I will have to purchase new ones :( Apple please fix this issue!

The ear buds are definitely NOT comfortable in my small ears. The sound, however, is great for as long as I can tolerate the pain.

I love them but, they don't last long.

    • Written by from Midland Park

I have bought an iPhone 5 in September of last year and they came with the EarPods, after six or so months they broke. I bought a new pair 13 months later and they broke again; doing nothing wrong here, they keep breaking. Love the sound; but can't stand the quality of plastic used to keep the wires safe in side. They just curl up and the wires break and the sound starts to crackle.

    Fix this Apple!

    Nothing to Special

    • Written by from Mechanicsville

This pair of EarPods were ok. I loved the shape and fit. They stayed in my ears great, but after less than a year, the sound in the left ear went out. I always got the cheaper earbuds because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them, but the sound in one ear always went out pretty fast. I decided to "splurge" and get these, and I loved them....then the sound went out in one ear....just like the cheap ones. I'm really disappointed and out $30.

Good sound, but don't stay in ear

These ear phones sound pretty good, no real complaints. However, I wear these when I work out and they do not stay in my ear very well. That is my only use for these headphones.

    Technical Issue

    • Written by from Toronto

The sound is absolutely fantastic, but I seem to be having problems with the remote buttons. The "play/pause" button works just fine, but the volume buttons don't. Now I've only tried it with my new 5s but I would think that should be the last of the problems...any ideas...?

    Awesome, but break easily.

    • Written by from Wilmington

These are a great fit in my ears and the sound quality is awesome! However, mine broke after just four months. I use them at least five times a week when I go running and sometimes in the car if I'm talking on the phone and don't want to use my hands. I was very careful and always kept them stored neatly, and away from moisture when they weren't being used. I don't know why they broke, but I'm bummed they did! Loved them.

    remote too insensitive

    • Written by from Mississauga

the sound of the earpods are great and the size is perfect for my ears. but the remote is so not sensitive that every time i try to turn up or turn down the volume or change the song i have to press VERY hard for it to sense me. and sometimes even when i press very hard it still doesn't work. i dont know if every earpod has this problem or just mine. but i think a product of apple should never be so dull like this.

Great Sound and Design, But Major Flaw

    • Written by from West Chester

I want to start by saying that I love the sound and shape of these headphones. They sound amazing and the headphones fit in my ear so that they are loose enough to easily remove, but tight enough that they don't just fall out of my ears when moving around. However, there is a major performance flaw in these headphones. This has happened with both of the two pairs I have had. The audio volume in the right headphone gradually gets quieter. Every few weeks I must adjust the left headphone to be quieter so that the sound stays balanced. By the end of a few months I can not even hear the music or whatever I'm listening to at full volume in places like a bus. Because of this my current pair will be my last pair.

After a few months of using these after i purchased the iPhone 5, the earphones jack broke off inside my iPad. I'm currently so disappointed right now because I always use my iPad for watching videos. Not only have I broken my earphones, I also have ruined the audio of a perfectly good iPad. Other than that, the earpods are quite good and a vast improvement from the old ones, although if you were to buy them as a single product, I wouldn't recommend these.
